With the permission of Valerie’s family, we wanted to take a moment to share some very difficult news.
Our beloved Valerie has passed away. ❤️
For so many of you, Valerie wasn’t just the person behind this business. She was the face of it. She was the person you saw, talked to, laughed with, and trusted with your pets. Her love for animals was a huge part of who she was, and the relationships she built with her clients meant so much to her.
For the girls at the shop, this loss is especially difficult. We didn't just lose the person we worked for, we lost someone who was such a huge part of our everyday lives. We are heartbroken, we are hurting, and honestly, we're still trying to figure out how to walk into the shop and do this without her.
There will be moments when it doesn't feel real. There will be things that remind us of her everywhere we look, and we're going to miss her more than words can say.
We know many of you loved Valerie dearly, and we know this loss is going to be felt throughout our entire community.
Valerie built something special here, and we are committed to carrying that forward. Things may look and feel a little different as we adjust to life without her, and we ask for your patience, understanding, and continued support while we find our footing.
Please continue to work with us, support us, and give us a little grace during this time. We are going to do our very best to keep the business moving while also grieving someone who meant so much to all of us.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked on us, shared memories, and loved Valerie throughout her journey. Your kindness means more than you know.
Valerie, you were the heart of this place. You will be missed beyond words, and you will always be a part of what we do here. ❤️
