One thing groomers don’t talk about enough… 🥺 Sometimes the hardest part of grooming isn’t the shave down… It’s preparing the owner for it.

When a dog comes in heavily matted or pelted, we don’t just groom the dog — we also try to gently prepare the pet parent emotionally for the transformation.

That’s why many groomers take “during” photos.
Not to shame.
Not to judge.
But to help owners understand what’s happening underneath the fluff.

We send updates during the groom because we know the after can be shocking — especially when we have no choice but to remove the coat for the dog’s comfort and safety.

At the end of the day, our goal is never just a “cute haircut.”
It’s relief.
Comfort.
