American Canine Academy We offer professional dog training services. Established in 2005 serving the Denver, CO area. LIFETIME CANINE GUARANTEE
Let ACA be your resource for life.

We offer the first Canine Immersion board and train, puppy training, pack walks, group class and behavior modification. When you enroll your canine companion into one of our programs, the training doesn’t end when your dog goes home. We are so sure of our ability to properly serve you and your family, that we’d like to offer our unique LIFETIME CANINE GUARANTEE. Upon completion of any one of our courses, this unprecedented program qualifies your dog for Lifetime Training classes for touch up or refresher training. Lifetime Canine Guarantees can apply to both private lessons, as well as group classes. Please read through each course individually to determine which program is included with your course. You won’t find a more inclusive program anywhere.

We take a different approach to puppy socialization. Our social groups include past dog training graduates as well as current puppy board and trains. We always have multiple professional dog trainers supervising play groups to ensure all puppies are safe and advocated for. Our dogs practice obedience as well as good social skills and manners.

Did you know in Denver, CO the staff to dog ratio is 1 staff to 15 dogs?!

Dog trainer Jackie has worked at busy boarding facilities that follow the Denver 1:15 ratio and was never a fan of the unsafe chaos. She and the team are thankful for training director Sean Miller’s views on quality over quantity approach in everything we do at ACA. 😄

The ACA dogs dressed to impress this weekend in Lakewood, CO. Zeus the German Shepherd graduated his dog training program. We love when the client’s dog is as good as the dog trainer’s dogs. 🥰

MEET THE TEAM: Lead Dog Trainer, Jackie!

🐾If you were a dog what breed would you be and why?

Border collie. My former employer called me a border collie. I relate to the high drive, detail oriented, insane work-ethic. We don’t know how to stop.

🐾If you could be any animal what would it be and why?

Any tropical parrot. Conures are the cutest. They can talk, are colorful and can fly.

🐾What inspired you to work with animals?

I’ve been obsessed with animals since childhood. I always wanted to interact, observe, help and communicate with them. Steve Irwin was my childhood hero.

🐾What do you like to do outside of work?

Hike, breweries, yoga, trick/agility dog training and cuddle with my pets who allow it. Bird and cat are not always in the mood.
