I am happy to share that Rue, Jules, & Nate are doing absolutely fantastic. P**p is slowing improving. We got f***l results back saying they were positive for coccidia, and had many eggs in their stool.

It’s likely that Fez had a false positive for Panleuk and that coccidia was what caused his tiny body to fade away, as he was the weakest and smallest of the litter and without treatment coccidia kills young kittens quickly. If they truly had panleuk they wouldn’t look as good as they do now.

They’re gaining weight and eating like champs. They aren’t so thrilled about their daily butt baths but it will all be over soon! 3 more days of coccidia meds to go, and a few more days of antibiotics and sub q fluids for them.

This has been a week from hell.

This morning we lost Clementine 💔

She was perfectly active and fine 3 hours before, and when I went to feed her next I discovered her open mouth breathing and cool to the touch.

The last few days she hasn’t wanted to latch, so she had been receiving tube feedings to make sure she had a full belly. Her weight was up and down all the time. And she was working through some diarrhea which was just starting to clear up thanks to probiotics and sub q fluids.

Her little body couldn’t fight any longer. She was premature. So small. But such a little firecracker of energy.
She passed away on my lap, in a fuzzy warm blanket with my hand resting on her on my way to the vet.

Thank you for loving her. Please go save a kitty in her honor. My heart is shattered.
