FINAL FLIGHTS — BUCK WATCH 2026 🦌🚁

That's a wrap on Buck Watch 2026!

For the final flights, I took both the DJI M30T and Matrice 4TD out across multiple properties and checked in on several of the bucks we've been watching throughout the year.

It's been a blast watching these deer change through the summer and into fall, and I appreciate everybody who's followed along, watched the videos, and joined the live streams.

Now we're shifting gears.

Buck Watch ➡️ Herd Surveys & Drone Deer Recovery

The next phase of the season is here, and 205 Aerial is ready to go.

Let me know in the comments—which buck in this video would YOU want showing up on your property? 👀

What Is Going On Beside This Buck’s Eye? 👀

Took the DJI M30T and JZ T60R night vision light out to our property and came across this really nice non-typical 10-point.

But look closely beside his eye. He definitely appears to have an injury, and there’s something sticking out that I can’t quite identify. It almost looks like a stick or possibly a piece of bone.

Take a good look and tell me what you think it is.

Took the DJI M30T out tonight with the JZ T60R night vision light and spent a little time watching a few younger bucks.

The T60R really helps bring out detail after dark and makes a great addition to the M30T for nighttime wildlife observation.

Pretty cool seeing what’s moving once the sun goes down.

Velvet vs. Hard Horn — Look at the Difference!

I’ve been watching this buck for a while, and now he’s starting to shed his velvet. In this video I put him side-by-side with an earlier look when he was still in full velvet.

You can really see how much extra mass that velvet appeared to add to his rack.

What do y’all think — did he lose more apparent mass than you expected?

Which would you rather hunt — select cut or clear cut? 🦌

Another morning with the DJI M4TD watching some nice bucks using both types of habitat. It’s pretty cool seeing from the air how these deer move between the thicker select cut and the more open clear cut.

Where would you set up?

Another Morning Watching Deer in the Select Cut 🦌

Spent another morning watching deer move through the select-cut timber. It’s always interesting seeing from the air how they use these thicker areas for cover and travel.

Would you rather hunt a select cut like this, or mature hardwoods?

Got the drone up and spent a little time watching this nice 10-point. Always cool getting a look at a good buck from above and seeing how he moves through the property.

What would you guess he scores?

Any Thermal Drone pilots on here cover Walton and Lamar, Ga? Had a guy reach out this morning. In need of assistance.
