The Gamblers Choice jump in this years Halloween Horseshow made the horses really jump! Yesterday was the perfect day for it because last night we got hit by a snow storm and have inches of snow!

Get ready to show!! Maddie and her new pony are. They practiced their first course together and Odie wants to jump not just trot over the poles
Winter is coming this weekend but the show is still going to happen. Snow doesn’t stop us from riding and Saturday is supposed to be 56 degrees. The Winter won’t hit until that evening or Sunday. (If we get snow at all, usually they predict it and we get nothing. )

Wind WAS the number one reason why I cancelled lessons. Nick build me a wind proof area to ride in and it feels about 10 degrees warmer when you are in it! It’s up and ready to use just as the temperatures start to drop.

Everyone is invited: Little kids, little horses, big kids, big horses, baby horses, old horses, walk the course or canter the course, leadline, or lead your horse! Classes will be explained at the show and you can watch those who know what they are doing, or those who sort of know what they are doing before you take your turn, so don’t worry if you have no idea what to do!
Costumes are optional but encouraged you can wear them in classes if they are safe.

Although the bathroom is still here and available for you to use, we don’t recommend it right now. Please plan accordingly for your lessons. I’ll call tomorrow but I think the company will be quite busy after that massive hurricane storm that came through.

Ralph and Payton entered in their first Jr High School rodeo this weekend and they caught a hard cow, that shot out left across the arena and tried to hide behind the other horses. They galloped after it and roped it for 5th place! Congrats!!

The last morning before school starts.
Good luck to all the students who go back to school. Several of the Topshelf riders graduated this year from high school and are on to a new chapter of life. We wish you many more adventures and the barn is always open for you. When you return for a break, come visit and snuggle your favorite horses and ponies!
