A huge shoutout to Julia Pattin is in order!
This weekend, Julia achieved her scores for her USDF bronze medal on her mare Athena. I have gotten the privilege to come alongside these two from the first week Julia brought Athena home as a gangly, malnourished 3 year old (see the last photo!!).
Every week for the last 4 years I have seen Julia show up with dedication, excitement to reach her goals, and an overwhelming love for her horse. She is exactly the type of rider I love to partner with in training up a young horse.
Speaking of Athena, she is a once in a career horse for me as a trainer. Suspected to be nearly full Clydesdale, this sensitive, forward, and incredibly kind mare is the kind that you want to fill a whole barn with. And so is her rider.
I am beyond proud of you both!! I know that achieving this goal is the first of many ahead.
