It was certainly a fun day of O-Mok-See!!! Got third in women's 16-39 high points! Small class but it was fun to get out one last time before jumping back into school next week!!

Happy birthday Harley!!! These sweet girls came for a birthday ride yesterday! They were bailed on by someone else and they got to come spend some time with me! I'm glad I could be a part of your special day!!

I let the advanced camp ladies choose the horse's colors. They got to decorate them with safe water based paint. Their hooves got a pedicure and some glitter. They also had the opportunity to practice braiding. They learned that painting horses is a hard task. Some move around a lot more than others. This is a wonderful camp. These kids don't touch an electronic device the entire time they are with me at camp. They come to have fun, get messy, make mistakes, learn, and truly be a kid! They get to socialize with others and come with common ground for the love of horses. It is truly such a wonderful gift to have these amazing students.

It's not always about riding.... The most important thing a student can learn about a horse is how to respect it. They are animals and athletes. They have feelings and emotions. They have aches and pains. They can seriously hurt you. They do have their own brain. The first step is understanding that horses need to be respected. The next is how to respect them and be a good horseman. This rider has learned how to properly stretch a horse and the reasoning behind why it is important.

Riding is the reward for all the hard work that goes into taking care of these wonderful animals.
