Hooved Companion Project

Hooved Companion Project It is our passion and dream to save displaced horses and to offer them the chance to become safe and loving companions. Saving hooved companions from slaughter.

Finding the right companion for the right horse.

08/02/2023

It has been quite a journey. We have relocated to Tennessee ! We moved in December of 2022. While we are still working with horses we are no longer taking in any new rescues. We have retired the active rescue as of March 31, 2023. We however, will be continuously working with our placed/adopted horses that we have rehomed.

We have enjoyed every connection and relationship that we have made along this journey.

Thank you!

Our Story

We are a 501c3 not for profit horse rescue and equine rehabilitation program. It is our passion and dream to save hooved companions from being slaughtered or otherwise abused by offering them the chance to become safe and loving companions. We are able to accomplish this through the dedication of our equine veterinarians, quarantine providers, transporters, volunteers, trainers and foster homes.

"I want people of all ages to be able to benefit from being bonded with a horse. It's such an amazing experience and if we can save animals in the process, then let's do it." - Michelle Goodrich, Founder of The Hooved Companion Project
