A few years ago I had the privilege of doing some training with Jeff Hayman, his wife Jeane and two of their wonderful dogs. Little did I know at the time that Jeff was, among his many other talents, an aspiring author! He currently has not one but TWO books in publication and let me tell you - they are great! I absolutely love it when I get the opportunity to work with a rare breed. Meet Tillie, a Deutscher Wachtelhund, or German Spaniel. These guys are gun dogs par excellence, but are also friendly, affectionate and make great family dogs. They are a well kept secret - and don’t those eyes just melt your heart?
