Congratulations going out to Kathy Jones and Calie, who NAILED our Dependable Dog Program. They finished all of the course material in just 4 sessions - so for the last two sessions we added some extra fun stuff just because. They are an example of what consistency, practice and commitment can do. Mic drop! 🎤

A few years ago I had the privilege of doing some training with Jeff Hayman, his wife Jeane and two of their wonderful dogs. Little did I know at the time that Jeff was, among his many other talents, an aspiring author! He currently has not one but TWO books in publication and let me tell you - they are great! Hasting’s WALL and Hasting’s GOLD are the first two novels in the “America’s New Path” series and they will challenge your understanding of the worlds of finance, investing and power. These books are filled with intrigue - are thought provoking - and they are set in large part right here in the Northern Neck! You will love the references to local landmarks as you are guided through the mysterious world of money, power and influence. And you will meet Piper - one of Jeff’s dogs that is an integral part of the plot! To think - I knew them both before they were famous 🤣. Look for these wonderful books at local businesses including Delma’s Family Cafe’ where I picked up my copy of BOTH novels - and a great lunch to boot! Get yours now and you won’t want to put them down. And if you love these books as much as I do - stay tuned for an announcement in the coming weeks. We’ll have a treat for you!

I absolutely love it when I get the opportunity to work with a rare breed. Meet Tillie, a Deutscher Wachtelhund, or German Spaniel. These guys are gun dogs par excellence, but are also friendly, affectionate and make great family dogs. They are a well kept secret - and don’t those eyes just melt your heart? She and her family have joined us for Puppy Head Start!
