What a GREAT day in the Cuttin’ Pen! 🤠🐴

We had a BIG turnout for our Ranch Cutting Show at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church, and we are so thankful for everyone who came out to ride, compete, help, and cheer everyone on!

There were great runs and even better fellowship throughout the day. We love seeing our arena full of horses, riders, families, and friends enjoying the sport we all love!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the show possible and to all of our contestants for spending the day with us. We appreciate each and every one of you!

🦷🐴 DENTAL DAY for the TWOS & THREES! 🐴🦷

Young horses have a lot going on in their mouths! They are in the process of loosing their deciduous (baby) teeth while their permanent teeth are erupting. Those baby premolars leave behind what we call “caps.” Most shed naturally, but some can hang on longer than they should. When a cap is loose or retained, it can become uncomfortable, trap feed, irritate the gums, and interfere with the permanent tooth coming in properly. That’s why regular dental checks are so important during these growing years—and caps that are ready and need help shedding can be removed by the dental professional.

Young horse mouths can be SHARP! 😳 With teeth erupting, shedding and changing so quickly, sharp edges and points can develop and make carrying a bit, chewing or training uncomfortable.

For our horses, dental care is just another important piece of setting them up for success. A comfortable mouth means they can eat better, carry the bit more comfortably, and focus on learning instead of soreness.

Good training starts with a comfortable horse! 🐴❤️
