Dr. McCoy will be out of the office Wednesday, October 29th through Tuesday, November 4th. He will return to the office on November 5th.

Our office will be open for nail trims, gland expressions, and non-narcotic medication refills only. Due to construction we will not be able to allow any drop-offs during this time. We will NOT be able to perform ANY medical needs while Dr. McCoy is out of the office.

If your pet has a medical need DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS, please take them to a vet of your choice or Enterprise Urgent Care at 334-417-1166.
If your pet is in need of medical attention during WEEKEND hours, please use the following:
Saturday & Sunday 9am - 5pm: Call Enterprise Urgent Care at 334-417-1166.
For all other times outside of the times mentioned above, please call:

BIG, BIG News….

We would like to welcome our Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Alex Durham, to Walden Pond Animal Hospital!

Dr. Durham is a graduate of Auburn University where she earned her B.S. in Microbiology with a minor in Business and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She attended high school at Dothan High School where she was Valedictorian of her class. Dr. Durham is no stranger to WPAH; she was a student worker with us during high school and college. In her spare time she enjoys reading, pilates, drawing/art, and learning musical instruments. Dr. Durham is married to Tyler; they have a dog and three cats. They are expecting their first child in November!!
Dr. Durham passionately believes in building strong relationships with patients and clients while offering the highest degree of animal welfare while maintaining the knowledge and skills to do so in an ethical practice.
We know that our clients are going to love her as much as we do!

We value the patience and understanding of our clients during the renovation of our building. The recent weeks have provided us with the opportunity to navigate, learn, and make necessary adjustments to our temporary setup. To mitigate the impact of spatial limitations in our temporary office, we have arranged for the creation of signage to enhance our service delivery to clients and their pets. Confirming scheduled appointments via phone or text is essential, as it enables us to provide better service and manage space effectively in our waiting area for clients collecting medication, addressing emergencies, or dropping off/picking up pets. Please be aware that this number is solely for appointment confirmations; all other queries, concerns, and scheduling should be directed to our regular phone number (334-693-5545).
