Honoring Pets & Preserving Memories 🐾

10/19/2026

A gentle hand. A few extra minutes. Someone who remembers your pet’s name.

Veterinary technicians make a difference in ways families never forget. We’re especially grateful for the kindness they show when saying goodbye gets hard.

Happy Veterinary Technician Week from McNett Pet Cremations. We appreciate you and the heart you put into your work. 💙

Most people don’t think about pet cremation until they need us. And when that day comes, it can be hard to know where to start.

You’re always welcome to reach out beforehand, too. Whether you’re wondering about cremation options, keepsakes, or what happens next, we’re happy to talk it through.

They’re family. Asking questions about their care is never a bother. 🐾

Somehow, they learn our routines... and become the best part of them.

The welcome at the door. The familiar weight beside us on the couch. The quiet company on a day when we don’t feel like talking.

Over time, those everyday moments become a whole life shared together. We learn their little habits, and they find their place in ours.

Whether your pet is beside you today or you’re remembering one you miss, we’d love to hear: what little thing do they do that always made you smile? 🐾

Fall is here—cooler walks, crunchy leaves, and 400 new things to sniff on the same route we took yesterday. 🍂🐾

Some pets are all about the adventure. Others would like you to grab a blanket and sit down so they can get comfortable.

Either way, they give us a good reason to slow down and enjoy the little things. Sometimes the best part of the day is simply having them beside us.

Is your pet a fall adventurer or a professional blanket snuggler? Share a photo below! 🧡

The little pads. The shape of their toes. A familiar paw you held more times than you could count.

An ink paw print captures an impression on paper, while a clay print preserves an impression you can feel. Both offer a way to remember a small, personal detail of a pet you love.

That’s why we offer them at McNett Pet Cremations. Alongside caring for your pet, we help preserve something you can keep close.

We’re fortunate to work with veterinary teams throughout Wisconsin and Illinois who trust us to care for the pets and families they serve.

We don’t take that trust lightly.

Thank you to the veterinarians, technicians and staff who care for our animals every day — and who allow us to play a small part in that care. 🐾

Today is National Dog Day. 🐾

Here's Ottis — our own four-legged reminder that dogs have a way of making even the most ordinary days a little better.

We'd love to see yours. Share a favorite photo of your dog in the comments!!

What does “private cremation” mean?

It’s a question many families don’t think about until the day they need to.

With private cremation, your pet is cremated individually. Their cremated remains are then carefully prepared and returned to you in their urn.

From the time a pet comes into our care until they return home, we take that responsibility seriously.

Because when you entrust us with a member of your family, you deserve to know exactly how they’re being cared for. 🐾

After losing a pet, sometimes it’s the smallest things you notice most.

Their favorite spot on the couch.
The nose prints on the window.
The way they always seemed to know when you needed them.

Those ordinary little things have a way of becoming some of our favorite memories. 🐾

What’s one little thing you’ll always remember about your pet?

No one likes thinking about saying goodbye to their best friend.

But making a plan before that day comes can bring tremendous peace when emotions are at their highest.

Knowing your options ahead of time allows you to focus on what matters most—being present with your pet.

If you have questions about private cremation, memorial products, or the process, we're always happy to help.

No pressure.

Just honest answers from people who understand.
