To our faithful friends and customers,

So many changes in 2021. The heart, soul, and passion behind Sophie's Dog Bakery was our Mom, Jan Beatty. We knew the store would never be the same without her. Mom enjoyed going to work every day. Every day. Can you believe that? She loved talking to her friends and customers, being a part of your families, and loving and caring for your pups.

Sophie's Dog Bakery has been for sale over the last few years, in preparation for Mom and Gwennie to retire. This month the building sold and our brick-and-mortar space is no longer the iconic Sophie's Dog Bakery. This is bittersweet since many chapters are closing for us all at once. Also because Mom has made an impact on Main Street for over 20 years by spreading joy and magic with the Christmas Store, Sophie's Dog Bakery, and Splendid Things. All of Mom's ventures were always fueled by heart with an intention to bring joy and magic into peoples' lives and she succeeded.

At this time, we are preparing how to continue to serve the customers of Sophie's. Please watch for details for an online store, pop up shops, and limited inventory at The Whistle Punk in Stone Lake, WI. We also hope to host a Jan Beatty Memorial We**ie Drag Race in the fall.

In honor of our beautiful Mom and the awesome life she led, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held outdoors on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 16807W 4th Street South in Stone Lake, WI. Please join us any time between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Pastor Wade Bishop will speak at 11:30 A.M. A live stream link will also be shared. Food and drinks will be available.

Mom lived life brightly, please wear pops of color. Wearing pearls is also encouraged. Pearls were significant to our family. Pearl is the color for Lung Cancer Awareness. Mom and Dad also had a beautiful white deer that visited their home often, providing silent strength and hope whenever they saw her. Her name was Pearl.

Mom always cared for others. To honor her, memorials may be directed to the following organizations that were near and dear to her heart:
