Founded by James and Ruth Newbury, the ranch is now lovingly managed by their granddaughter, Michele. Today, JNR remains a fully operational farm and ranch—and the proud home of Home Run Rescue, an animal rescue initiative launched in 2020. Driven by action and compassion, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned and surrendered animals in the Hawley community. Through our education programs

and monthly camps, we also inspire the next generation to embrace the values of farm life and animal care. Together, we're making a difference—one life at a time.

Ms. Michele is officially trading boots for her babies and grandbabies these next two weeks!

JNR Farm & Ranch will be CLOSED and there will be:
❌ No private riding lessons
❌ No group riding lessons
❌ No ranch activities

The ranch will reopen and lessons will resume Saturday, May 23rd!

Thank you for understanding while our cowgirls and horses enjoy a little rest & relaxation

We can’t wait to get back in the saddle with everyone soon!

With Michele, riders will:
✔️ Learn proper handling & safety
✔️ Understand horse behavior
✔️ Build riding skills step-by-step
✔️ Gain independence and confidence

Small group = better learning, more ride time, and real progress.
