The versatile dorsal shaft! These dump wagons have a quick pin to take off the handle and add the dorsal shaft.

The dorsal shaft for the wagon is amazing in that the goats never seemed to pay attention to the wagon behind them. My goats are wearing the same harnesses that my dogs' used to wear. Flashy wears Houzeau's harness and Cooper wears Shaggy's.

I euthanized Shaggy on Saturday May 11. He had largely lost the use of his hind legs. He spent time lying on his side with his head flat on the ground. I buried him in the pecan orchard. He looked beautiful lying in my wagon while I dug. He was 13 years old.

Flashy knows how to jump. Will know how to pull a wagon. I use a dorsal shaft with bungee cords to hold it up. Also use Shaggy's sulky harness. Shaggy is retired.

Goats got to ride to post office today. Then I got curious. Hawkinsville GA where I live Is a River town. The Ocmulgee River is its eastern edge. In the old days paddle wheelers took cotton and turpentine down the river to the coast where ocean ships took it north. Now there is a brand new park on the cliff above the river and next to the park is the new (beautiful) city hall.
So I decided to visit the park with Flashy and Cooper. Met a charming lad and two people I already know. Folks are using the new park!!!! The boy and his father were skateboarding the new skateboard area and the boy took a break to walk the goats. He liked fat pushy Flashy. Saw the difference right away.
