Orchard Veterinary Clinic A caring and supportive veterinarian in Hawkinsville, Georgia More about our Veterinarian, Dr. Sam Dalton.

Orchard Veterinary Clinic is founded on the strong reputation and loving care enjoyed by middle Georgia for the previous 45 years through Bembry Veterinary Clinic! Proudly standing in the same building that has cared for countless animals and staffed by the same incredible people that you have come to know and love, Orchard Veterinary Clinic strives to continue the devotion and exceptional veterinary medicine provided by our predecessor. Dr. Sam graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture in 2014. She became a “double-dawg” by graduating from UGA again with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2019 with an emphasis in Mixed Animal Medicine and with accolades in large animal internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Sam adores working with both our large and small animal friends. She loves providing the best possible care for the pets in her community. Dr. Sam, her husband Zack, and their son Mason spend their free time taking care of their funny farm which includes a small herd of sheep, horses, goats, kitties and their ever-faithful doggies Morgan and May.

🐾💙 Happy Veterinary Technician Week! 💙🐾

We have been feeling extra loved and spoiled this week! 🥰 Our amazing boss treated us to Hamilton, spoiled us with treats, and some of our wonderful veterinary distributors brought us lunch. We are so thankful for all the thoughtfulness, generosity, and appreciation!

We truly love what we do and feel so lucky to work with such an amazing team. Being able to care for our patients, love on our furry friends, and make a difference every day is something we never take for granted. 🐶🐱

Thank you to our boss and everyone who helped make this week so special. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

🐾 September is Animal Pain Awareness Month🐾

Our pets are incredibly good at hiding pain—especially as they get older. What may seem like “just getting old” can actually be a sign that your pet is experiencing discomfort.

🐶🐱 Common signs of pain in older pets include:
• Difficulty getting up or lying down
• Limping or stiffness
• Reluctance to use stairs or jump
• Decreased activity or playfulness
• Trouble getting comfortable or restless at night
• Changes in appetite
• Whining, panting, or unusual vocalization
• Becoming less social or more irritable
• Excessive licking of a particular area
• Changes in grooming or bathroom habits

💙 Getting older doesn’t have to mean living with pain. There are multiple pain-management options available, and we can help determine what may be appropriate for your pet.

If you’ve noticed changes in your pet’s mobility, behavior, or comfort, give us a call and schedule an appointment. Let’s help your furry family member feel more comfortable and enjoy their golden years! 🐾💙

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — We Remember🇺🇸

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who showed extraordinary courage and compassion in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We also remember the countless search-and-rescue dogs who worked tirelessly alongside their handlers, offering comfort, strength, and hope when it was needed most. 🐾❤️

As a veterinary family, we know how deeply the bond between people and their pets can run. Today, we also hold close the memory of the beloved dogs who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge since then — the ones who brought unconditional love, comfort, and joy into our lives and the lives of the families we serve.

We remember the people.
We remember the heroes.
We remember the dogs.
We remember the love.
