So excited to get this store open soon!
The Wandering Thrift is growing, and honestly, we did not see this coming...!
If you have been following along, you know we have a lot going on here. We run Luxury Unleashed, our boarding facility. We run Gigi's Gems Chihuahua Rescue. And somewhere in between all of that, we had this idea for a little mobile thrift trailer that we could set up around town to help support the rescue.
Simple enough, right?
Except the ideas, the inventory, and the generosity of this community grew faster than the trailer could hold. We had outgrown it before we ever opened the door.
The interest kept building, the treasures kept accumulating, and we kept looking at each other thinking, we are going to need more space.
As it turns out, we already have it.
A couple of years ago, we hauled in a building and set it up right here. It has been sitting there, waiting for the right purpose, and it is perfect.
It is big enough for furniture, artwork, home décor, vintage finds, seasonal pieces, and all of those unexpected things that make thrift shopping genuinely fun.
So that is where The Wandering Thrift is going.
It is going to be an actual store.
The store will not have traditional daily hours. Our first priority will always be the dogs, both the ones in our rescue and the ones boarding here at Luxury Unleashed. We will open on select days each month, and we will make sure you know those dates well in advance.
The mobile trailer is not going anywhere.
Our goal is to keep it stocked and available on the honor system as often as we can, with smaller treasures that change regularly.
That means there will still be opportunities to shop and help support what we are building, even on days when the main store is not open.
As we get the store organized and ready, we are pressing pause on general donations for now. We do not yet have a designated donation area set up, and we want to do this right.

The Wandering Thrift will not accept or sell clothing or shoes.
We are hoping to open within the next three to four weeks.
We have been quiet, but we have not been still.
If you have ever spotted us at a garage sale or the local thrift store, you already know this is just part of who we are. It always has been. Now it has a bigger purpose. Every treasure we find, every item we sell, and every dollar we raise goes back to the little ones who need it most. That makes the hunt a whole lot sweeter.
