Hi, my name is Jordan, and I run the riding lesson program and summer camps here at On course Equestrian Services & Grid Iron Hill Stables. I am completing my senior year of high school and have been blessed to be homeschooled my entire life which has allowed me the opportunity to focus on my passion for horses, particularly competing nationally in the Welsh circuit, and running our family equestrian business.

I am the oldest of 7 children, have been a foster sister to many, and have experience with children with mental disabilities. Therefore, I have plenty of experience with children of all ages and learning abilities.

I will be offering our final summer horse camp for this 2025 season the week of August 4th. If you have any children or grandchildren who might be interested in learning how to ride and learn about horse management, please consider signing them up.
I also offer regular weekly riding lessons to children as well if that is something they would like to continue with.

☀️GLORY DAYS ☀️
14yr old OTTB mare for sale
15.3 hands and THICK
She goes around walk, trot, canter, flying changes and jumping 3 ft with ease, perfect prospect for an intermediate/ advanced rider looking for their next event horse.
Very brave, very athletic and she’s a very flashy mover, we get compliments every time we take her off property.
Stands for farrier, baths and vet.
Very calm and quiet in an open field and goes through water like an angel!
Prefers to have her own rider and doesn’t do very well when being used as a lesson horse.

" 'Am I a good rider?’
She asked, pensively, sat upon her 14.2 cob, covered in poo stains
that she couldn’t quite get out before her lesson, that she
had persuaded her mum to buy a year ago for just £400.
(It wasn’t wanted anymore)

‘Why do you ask that?’
Her instructor replied,
for she knew how this young girl felt,
her eyes often lingered somewhere inbetween
her horses ears or the other side of the school when teaching.

‘Because I want to be one’
Her instructor pondered on this for a good few minutes,
whilst reassuring the nervous cob in front, and then said,

‘A good rider is not someone who buys flashy horses and
competes every Saturday and makes it to the top within a year.
A good rider is not who jumps the highest jumps or owns the fastest horse.
A good rider isn’t made just because they’ve been riding since they were 3.
A good rider is not someone who can move their forward horse forward...

cries in the tack room because of how her horse

🥰🥰Being stronger than the thoughts😍😍

Last night many of us would have watched the amazing 5 star competition in 🇺🇸 Marylands. What a result 🇮🇪🇮🇪 Austin and his Mount Salty moved up from 4th after XC to WIN……..an overdue fantastic result ❤️❤️

Something that touched our hearts watching this competition was an interview that Austin did on TV straight after he won. He stated that results like these don’t happen to people like him……….he is one of the best event riders in the world and has the best relationship with his horse but he still thinks he’ll never beat the people who he thinks are ‘better’ than him! Then he went on to say he had been privately thinking of putting someone on the horse who would get the results the horse deserved………….again he had been doubting himself, one of the BEST eventers in the world had been doubting himself that Salty needs someone better!!!!!!! So from watching from the outside this result for Austin has come at a perfect time and so well deserved but also………..

It just goes to show what your own mind can sometimes tell you, you start doubting yourself, you start to think you can’t do what people think you should be doing, you start thinking what others might be thinking over and over again………….but all the time you are doing amazing and in the bigger picture achieving things all the time! Sometimes whatever gets in your mind needs a reality check and you need to realise, ‘wow I’m actually doing GREAT ❤️’

Austin well done and thank you for being honest. There was not many dry eyes last night watching you ……. Roll on your next results 🥰🥰
