🗣️ Meet Bonnie!
This beautiful, fit blond girl is a Shar Pei mix who’s here for her Intro to E.collar Stay and Learn!
She’s here for a Stay and Learn to build her confidence, strengthen her obedience, and begin a slow, positive introduction to the e-collar as an additional communication tool.
Side quest: Her humans have already started muzzle training, so we’ll continue helping her create a positive association with it. The goal is to make sure she feels as safe and comfortable wearing it as possible.
Bonnie also has a few behaviors I’ll be focusing on, including barking and lunging when people enter the house and sometimes while she’s on leash towards other dogs and people.
We’ll focus on helping her feel more secure, make better choices, and learn what we’d like her to do instead.
Right now, Bonnie is still a pretty unsure of me, and that’s okay. I’m earning her trust through hand-feeding kibble and yummy treats , spending quiet time together, and respecting her space. Allowing her to approach and get comfortable on her own terms will help us build the trust needed for the rest of her training.
