An update from Jan.
Jan wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and for asking about her. She is still recovering and will be for some time, but she is in high spirits and is ready to return to her labs and to all of you as soon as she is able. As a family would also like to thank everyone who has prayed for her and has reached out offering assistance. It has been a hard time for all of us and the overwhelming support has been a pleasant and uplifting action to us all.

Unfortunate news from T-Bar Country. Jan has had a sudden medical emergency and is currently in the hospital. Thankfully everything is looking hopeful with her, and we are all praying for a speedy recover. All of us would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, and hopefully Jan will be back home shortly. Jan's grandson Chance will be doing his best to conclude any work that needs done with the dogs that are going to their new homes. Again, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

Vacationing in Branson, Mo., is a full time job and these two lab ladies need a rest. This is Maui and Piper Peterman and Mom (Jennifer) says Maui is 16 weeks old today and Piper is almost ten years. I don't think they could look any better and it's great to know they vacation right along with the family. Have a fun time over there and a safe trip back home.

There is a very, very special boy that I'm going to place if I can find the right home. He's light in color, weighs over 100 pounds -- was my pick of the litter and knew I would be keeping him. He's quite a handsome hunk. Now..... while he was still very small -- about 3 weeks and was inside with Mom and littermates, apparently Mom accidentally stepped on him and it appears one of her toenails punctured one eye. Of course he went to the vet immediately and the eye was closed. So, it just looks like he is winking at you. He has not been producing any puppies and finally had him checked and he is close to sterile. Vet says it would be a very small chance of reproduction. So, since I'm needing to cut back he may be soon in a great home. He loves everyone and is big and strong and good-looking on top of that. I'm not asking for money but the home is important to me (and to both Sons who work here). He's everyone's favorite. He needs a yard or acreage to have some freedom. I think he would be happy spending a good deal of time in the house with people too. But don't want him to always be on a lead if going outside. "If" you live close enough that you could come see him before making a decision it would be best. Just want to be sure you are as happy with him as he would be with you. Send me an email if he holds your interest.

It looks like Pearl is doing well in her new Texas home. Mom sends this photo this morning saying that hopefully she will be a therapy dog as the two of them will be delivering Holy Communion to some of their homebound church parishioners who are going through cancer treatments. Pearl..... I know you will do a good job helping Mom with this endeavor but you need to start sleeping better at night so both of you are at your best.

Kansas temperatures can change with no warning -- this was a warm day and these two little girls were taking a short break to re-charge those batteries. The one on the right went home that same day and the little one on the left is going home this weekend. Both have great lives ahead of them with wonderful families.

Just living the Good Life -- this is Sienna and Dream -- in their retirement home in New Jersey. Mom (Claire) says they love their long walks (and Dad gets lots of exercise too). The Finley family drove here to pick them up and it has been a wonderful place for them to call home.

A family in the St Louis area has just taken on a 3rd or 4th T-Bar male puppy. This little one is Bear and Mom (Jody) says he went to be vet checked and weighs 22 pounds. Sounds like a good start to me but he has a long way to go (those before him have been extra large labbies so Bear will need to keep eating well. Thanks to the Capdeboscq family for sharing their super home with another T-Bar fella.

I just received a note from David Oliver saying his family has lost a special friend -- 13 year old Sam. He was a handsome fellow however, he did not like water or fetching toys. He much preferred prancing around the yard following the children. Dad says he was a very loving lab and the Oliver children and all their friends were always happy to have him coming to meet them. As always, this is a very sad loss for the family and Dad says it leaves a hole in their home.

I have received a note from David Oliver with the sad news that Sam -- their lab of 13 years -- went home yesterday. Sam was a handsome guy but he did not like water or fetching toys. He much preferred prancing around the yard and following the children. He loved everyone and the Oliver kids and all their friends were happy when he came to greet them. Dad says there will be a definite hole in their home. I know how all of you can understand his words.
