Day 1 of the Chihuahua Regional and National Specialties is under wraps!

We started off the day with sweepstakes, and while Baby (Pubs) had the time of her life in the ring, no love for her. If anyone has seen her at a show you know how much of a crazy fun mess she is in the ring and I love every second of it 😂

We then attended the welcome party and Puppy B-Match where my little “nephew” Colton was able to show off all the things we’ve been practicing for the last few weeks! He’s only 7, so we planned for him to do peewees on Saturday. He jumped at the chance to go into the B-Match ring with the older kids and got a Best Junior!

The week is just kicking off and I am already so happy to be surrounded by my fellow Chihuahua lovers 🥰🥰

Ten days ago Katie Rust and I had the pleasure of welcoming three fat babies into the world! Two boys and one girl! 🎉👏🏻🎊🍾🥳

These are the biggest babies I’ve ever had, from my smallest girl! Grits has been a phenomenal mom so far and working with Katie/Scramble has been such a breeze. So grateful for her friendship and collaboration 🥰🥰

I wanted to extend a huge congratulations and appreciation to Sheila Brown and her husband for opening up their beautiful home to sweet little Versace!! 🥰🥰

I can already tell that these two will be inseparable. They were so sweet, calm and gentle with her transition, and I know that soon Versace will be ruling the roost! She’ll get to enjoy the lap of luxury right here in Mississippi! I love a local home!!

As much as I hate it, Tiny Texas is looking for his perfect PET home!! He’s currently 6 months old.

🤠Walley’s Texas Hold ‘Em🤠

He has been extensively socialized with dogs, cats, children, strangers, loud machinery, airplanes, car rides, grooming, dog shows, etc. Texas is the definition of a perfect companion.

He is very friendly and loves other people, but does tend to be a mama’s boy. My purse has a divot where he sits from going out with me so much! Texas will happily say hello to everyone and give kisses and then come running back to my lap.

While Texas has no fear with large dogs, I will be looking at homes with other small breeds only. His sassy attitude and playful puppy demeanor can get him into trouble if the larger dog is not tolerant or aware of their surroundings.

He loves to roughhouse, even with his 5.5lbs sister!! I anticipate him maturing between 3.5-4lbs. Due to his size, I do not recommend him for a home wanting to participate in sports.

While he has been using a litterbox here, I always say to start from scratch in any new environment. For a guy this little, a box across the house can be far for him to go!

If you’ve already put an application on file for a boy I will be going through them later this week and reaching out to anyone that seems like a match. This is a very busy week at work so bear with me as I try to go through apps and DMs.

One of the perks I offer my local puppy homes is free dog sitting! Bindi (formerly Lady) came to stay with us for a week while her mom went to Disney. She gets to live out her feral farm upbringing before going back to pampered pooch life. Baths were in order!

This past weekend I made an exhausting — but SO WORTH IT — trip to Cleveland, OH to pick out our newest house guest, Scramble!!

Scramble is a beautiful boy bred by Katie Rust of Eldora Chihuahuas, who was such a joy to visit. Huge thank you to her for not only trusting me with her boy for a while, but also for letting me stay at her home and meet all the dogs! It’s so nice to sit and talk dogs and breeding 🥰

He’ll be paired with a few of the girls while he’s here. We are so hopeful that his bone, movement and type will bring some much needed improvement to my program! I’ve been really enjoying his easygoing, happy demeanor. Scramble will be enjoying farm life and going on lots of outdoor adventures with me. Such a good boy!!

🎉FIRST POINTS🎉

While I had big dreams of Baby being MY next show dog, my boyfriend had other ideas. He and HIS first show dog hit the rings together this weekend in Gonzales, LA.

There’s something to be said for the pride you feel watching an absolute novice successfully win with a dog you’ve produced! I was so proud I shed a tear!

Baby earned two majors and 10 points this weekend!!! What a way to kickoff showing dogs for Coleman!

On Saturday she was awarded Winner’s Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite S*x over a special by Mrs Cindy Meyer and on Sunday she was awarded Winner’s Bitch by Mr. Jimmy Moses! 🎉👏🏻🎉👏🏻🎉👏🏻🎉

Fun fact: Baby doesn’t actually know her name is Baby. She only responds to Pubs 🤣

Thrilled is an understatement! I’ve been begging for a smaller crate for years and they finally did it. These are my initial thoughts as I unbox the two I ordered 🥰
