Animal Ark is a Minnesota-based animal welfare organization. We embrace and follow a no-kill philosophy in our work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Minnesotaā€™s lost and homeless companion animals. With staff providing basic medical care and keeping of our shelter animals, a dedicated group of volunteers provides the next level of care, making the rehabilitation of these wonderful animals possible. Our volunteers provide needed socialization for the companion animals living at the shelter, focusing on the needs of the individual animal based on his or her personality. We at Animal Ark are honored to have the opportunity to serve these amazing animals, their new adoptive families and the many communities across Minnesota. The passion and dedication of our staff and volunteers is focused on our main mission and goal: to find responsible, loving forever homes for each animal we have the privilege of welcoming through our doors!

A FULL BOWL. A GRATEFUL HEART. A LITTLE MORE HOPE.

At Animal Ark, dogs like Jax are patiently waiting for something we cannot give them ourselves, a family to call their own. But while they wait, we promise them love, comfort, safety, and the care they deserve. Today, we are reaching out to our wonderful community with a simple request. We are in need of Purina ONE canned and dry dog food to help nourish the dogs who depend on us every day. Every can and every bag donated makes a meaningful difference, allowing us to continue caring for these precious lives until their forever families arrive. We know there are many worthy causes asking for help, and we never take your generosity for granted. Whether you can donate one can or an entire bag, please know how deeply grateful we are. From Jax and all the dogs at Animal Ark, thank you for remembering those who are still waiting to be someone's everything.

A LITTLE FRENCHIE WITH A BIG HEART NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Meet Cody, our adorable six-year-old French Bulldog with oversized ears, soulful eyes, and a little heart just waiting to belong to someone again.

Cody once knew the comfort of a family. Now he's at Animal Ark, where we're making sure he feels loved and cared for while he waits for another chance at happiness.

We're looking for a special someone to sponsor Cody's food!

Our little gentleman requires Open Farm Healthy Weight Chicken & Whitefish Recipe, a special diet to help keep him healthy.

At Animal Ark, we believe every animal deserves individualized care, no matter how long they stay with us. But providing specialized food can be costly for a nonprofit shelter.

Would you consider purchasing a bag of Cody's food or making a donation toward his meals?

Cody may be small, but the kindness you show him will mean the world.

Until his forever family finds him, we're his family. Will you help us fill his little bowl?

Some endings are worth waiting for.

Sage and Echo waited patiently for the kind of family who wouldnā€™t ask them to choose between a new home and each other. They had already been through so much together, and through every change, and every night at the shelter, they had one constant: each other.

We promised them that their bond mattered. We promised we would not separate them simply because finding one home for two dogs might take longer.

And then their people found them.

Not someone willing to ā€œtake onā€ two dogs, but parents who looked at Sage and Echo and understood that they were already a family. They didnā€™t see two dogs as twice the responsibility, they saw twice the love, twice the companionship, and two hearts that belonged together.

After waiting for the right home, Sage and Echo finally left Animal Ark side by side, exactly as we had always hoped they would.

No goodbyes between them. No wondering where the other one went.

Just two best friends climbing into the same car, heading toward the same front door, the same couch, the same adventures, and the same forever.

Their story reminds us why sometimes we wait.

Because the goal isnā€™t simply to find an animal a home.

Itā€™s to find the right home.

Happy life, Sage and Echo. You waited for your parents, and they came for both of you.
