🌡️🔥 Heat Advisory Alert – Keep Pets Safe! 🔥🌡️

Here’s how to keep them safe:
🐾 Keep pets indoors as much as possible — especially during peak heat hours (10am–6pm).
💧 Provide plenty of fresh, cool water at all times.
🏖️ Limit outdoor walks to early morning or late evening, and always test the pavement with your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws!
🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a minute. Temperatures can skyrocket in seconds.
🐶 Watch for signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.

LAST WEEK!!!

this is the last week you are able to buy the homemade cat nip toys from Brianne. She is raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Please come and get some toys. They are well made and last a long time. Dogs even like them too!

Buffalo Gnats! AKA black flies.

We have been seeing a lot of dogs with lesions like this. We know it looks like ringworm but it is not. We have a spray you can use to mist your animal with it. It helps repel buffalo gnats, mosquitos, and other flying insects.

You can also put a neon color shirt on your animal. They do not like bright colors. The buffalo gnats like to bite in areas with less hair. If they do get a bite and it looks like it is irritating your pet, please try hydrocortisone cream or Neosporin to see if it helps. Some animals that have an "allergy" to them might need antibiotics.

The Buffalo gnats love dusk and dawn and they come around spring and fall.

Buffalo Gnat Spray:
4 Tablespoons of Avon Skin so soft
1 gallon of water
Mix together and mist pet.
Make sure to get the areas of the pet with less hair.
