Lucky’s first trail ride with Amy! As part of his training he’s been ponied a lot on the trails preparing him for today as this was only his 8th time being ridden since started under saddle. He did outstanding and is becoming a really nice horse. Another chapter in Lucky’s rags to riches story.❤️

Saturday Morning C**t Starting Team 🐴

These ladies bring the energy and enthusiasm each week as they continue building their skills in starting young horses.

They’re learning that successful c**t starting is about timing, feel, balance, softness, patience, and clear communication—reading the horse and knowing when to ask, when to release, and when to simply allow the horse to process.

Week by week, they’re developing their technique, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to create a willing, trusting partner.
The progress with the team and the horses is exciting to watch! 🐎✨

Congratulations & Thank You Grand Prix Abigail! Before heading off to attend college at the University of Notre Dame Abigail & Sassy did a lovely jumping demo for a large group of youth riders. The kids had a lot of good questions for her and it was fun seeing the next generation of riders inspired and energized.
A lot of the riders were riding Calypso throughout the week, the same horse Abigail rode over her first jump.😊 They thought that was pretty cool.

Lucky is such an awesome & interesting horse who’s warming his way into the hearts of many at the barn. He’s the star of our Saturday morning c**t starting classes and can be seen trotting at lightning speed around the indoor.😮
Yesterday, he was ridden both in the morning rain and again last night.
When starting horses, some days we will put several shorter rides on throughout the day.
