Today was a sad day.
A devastating, gut wrenching, make you physically ill day.
Just yesterday I was thinking how animals never get to choose their homes.
They are bought, given away for free or found as strays.
Sometimes discarded and sometimes worse.
They are completely at a person's mercy and some people will prove to be more evil than you could ever imagine.
Some suffer a lifetime while others suffering is much shorter because their life is taken.
We will NEVER understand cruelty and abuse.
It's very difficult to not think of the life they lived before it ended.
Hold space for those who showed him love and kindness while he was with them.
For his foster mama who cared for him when he needed it most.
The fact he did know kindness at one time.
For everyone who touched his life in a positive way.
As always we will picture him romping in the tall grass, napping under fluffy clouds, kind hands stroking his beautiful face.
Pain free, happy and loved as all animals should be.
It's the only way.
