As show season ramps up this fall, now's the time to make sure your horse is performing at their best, and regenerative therapies can play a big role in that!

At Tennessee Equine Hospital, we offer treatments like PRP (platelet-rich plasma), IRAP, and shockwave therapy to help manage joint inflammation, support soft tissue healing, and keep your equine athlete feeling their best in the ring.

Whether you're managing a nagging issue or just want to be proactive before a big season, these therapies, combined with the right rest and rehab plan, can make a real difference.

Have questions about whether regenerative treatment is right for your horse? Give us a call to talk it through before show season kicks into high gear. 📞

90°F outside means your horse needs more than just shade. 🌡️ If you notice any of these signs, move your horse to shade, offer water, and contact your veterinarian right away. Heat stress can escalate quickly, especially with high humidity.

Stay cool out there! 🧊 Share this post to spread the word.

8 years of trust doesn't happen by accident. 🐴

Great equine care isn't just about a single appointment. It's built over years of consistency, communication, and genuinely caring about the horses (and people) we work with. That's what long-term relationships with our clients mean to us.

We're so grateful to this client for trusting Dr. Matthew DeLisle and Dr. Colton McInturff with their horses' care for nearly a decade. Thank you for choosing Tennessee Equine Hospital as your vet of choice.

Mosquito season = disease season. 🦟

Mosquitoes can transmit serious, potentially fatal diseases like West Nile Virus and Eastern/Western Equine Encephalitis (EEE/WEE) in horses.

Prevention, plus vaccination, is the best combo for keeping your horse protected this season.

Here's some ways to reduce mosquito exposure this summer:
✅ Use horse-safe fly/mosquito repellent regularly
✅ Turn on barn fans. Mosquitoes are weak fliers and avoid moving air!
✅ Eliminate standing water around the barn (buckets, tires, low spots that collect rain)
✅ Keep horses in during peak mosquito hours (dusk and dawn)
✅ Use fly sheets or masks for added protection
✅ Keep manure and organic debris cleaned up to reduce breeding sites

Questions about your horse's vaccine schedule? Call us to check their record. We're happy to help! 📞

Uneven wear, dropped feed, and head-tilting while eating can all point to dental issues that affect more than just their mouth (it affects their whole body)!

This is your sign to schedule a dental exam with us today.

Thanks for the helping hand! 😂 This little buddy decided the Monday afternoon cleanup crew needed a little supervision.

And honestly, we’ll take all the help we can get, even if it comes with a few hoofprints and a lot of attitude. 🐴 🧹
