Hi all! Awhile back, we posted asking about interest for a platform that offers online booking. We have been with PetDesk for a few years with good success, but we can do MORE with ChckVet. We are hoping to be fully live with ChckVet beginning 9/10/2026. This is offered as an app, but it is also accessible on a web browser (no app required). You will still be able to text and email through this app, with more access to your pets' records, and the ability to book an appointment from your phone. (Please note there will be limited availability for booking while we work out the kinks)
Long story short, ChckVet does the same and more, and I think you'll be just as pleased with it as we are. Please call or email [email protected] with any questions. PetDesk requests will be active through the end of the month.

When we first met Marijke, she was a high school student shadowing the team to gain experience. During her tech school adventures, we were lucky to host her for her internship, which turned into her joining our team as an assistant and then a licensed technician on semester and summer breaks. We have been extremely lucky to work, learn, and teach alongside such a wonderful person.
Marijke comes to work every day with a positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and the passion to help animals and their families. Today, we celebrate with love, tears, and hugs, as today is Marijke’s last day for a while.
Please join us in celebrating Marijke and wishing her well, as she embarks on her new journey to vet school. We are so lucky to know you, and will miss you so very much.
See you when you’re back on breaks, and we can’t wait to work with Dr Marijke in 4 years 💜💜💜💜💜

Sweet Tommy is STILL looking for a home… He is goofy with a big personality and has so much love to give. 💓He is sociable (loves a good pet!), has lived with various cats over his 5 years, and would likely adjust well to a well-mannered pup. Tommy is a well-regulated diabetic and requires daily insulin shots, but is not on a prescription diet.

Good morning all- we are re-opening the job listing for a veterinary assistant, full or part time. This job does not require licensure, experience appreciated, but not required.
Basic responsibilities include assisting patients in various procedures, assisting with collecting lab samples and running labs, kennel husbandry, basic upkeep and stocking the hospital, etc.

Cooperstown Veterinary Associates is looking to add a full-time licensed veterinary technician to our team.

Duties include but are not limited to: blood draws and placing IV catheters, assisting in surgery, radiographs, and ultrasounds, restraining and assisting with doctors in appointments, medication refills, client communication, etc.
We are a busy general practice with some urgent care tendencies, who sees any patient with fur or feathers.

Part time positions can be discussed. Rotating weekend kennel shifts required. Compensation dependent on experience

Hiya folks! Please be advised we are under a heat advisory this weekend. Please be mindful of the amount of time your furry family members are spending outside, especially brachycephalic breeds such as pugs, boxers, bulldogs, s**t zhu’s, etc. And NEVER leave them in a car with no AC.

Also, July 4th is Saturday. If you need anxiety meds for fireworks and celebrations, NOW is the time to call us!
