๐Ÿ“ฃ Important Update to Our Low-Income, Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Program ๐Ÿ“ฃ

For many years, Hart County Humane Society has been proud to offer low-cost spay and neuter certificates to help make these lifesaving procedures more affordable for pet owners in Hart and Franklin Counties. This program has prevented countless unwanted litters, reduced pet overpopulation, and helped save thousands of animal lives!

Unfortunately, like everything else, the costs associated with veterinary care, surgeries, medications, and vaccinations have continued to rise. In order to keep this valuable program available to our community, we must make a small adjustment to our certificate pricing:

๐Ÿฑ Current Pricing (through June 30):
โ€ข Cats/Kittens: $30
โ€ข Dogs/Puppies: $65
(Price is the same for males and females.)

๐Ÿถ New Pricing ๐๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ:
โ€ข Cats/Kittens: $40
โ€ข Dogs/Puppies: $75
(Price remains the same regardless of gender.)

While we never want to increase costs, these adjustments will help ensure that we can continue offering this important service to local families and pets for years to come. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our veterinary partners who make this program possible! ๐Ÿ’“
Royston Animal Hospital Lake Hartwell Veterinary Clinic Hartwell Animal Hospital
Their willingness to work with us and provide quality care at reduced rates allows countless pets in our community to receive these important procedures. We are incredibly thankful for their dedication to animal welfare and the difference they make every day!

Spaying and neutering remains one of the most effective ways to reduce pet homelessness, decrease shelter overcrowding, and improve the health and well-being of our companion animals. Every certificate purchased helps make a difference.

We are incredibly proud of this program and the impact it has had throughout our community, and we hope Hart and Franklin County residents will continue to take advantage of this affordable resource.

๐Ÿ“‹ Please review the updated spay/neuter flyer for complete program details and eligibility requirements.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us create a future with fewer homeless pets. โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

She is just a baby.

Approximately six weeks old. Tiny enough to fit in one hand. Tiny enough that life should still be soft blankets, full bellies, and chasing toys across the floor. Instead, this little black kitten was found on the side of the road after being hit by a car. ๐Ÿ’”

Blood had filled one of her ears. She was screaming. Throwing her head uncontrollably as if her tiny body could no longer understand what was happening to it. One eye is filling with blood from the trauma. There are obvious signs of severe head injury, and the next several hoursโ€” and daysโ€” are critical.

And yetโ€ฆ she is still trying.

She is eating. ๐Ÿด
She is responding.
She is fighting. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

You all know us well enough by now to know this: as long as they fight, we fight right alongside them.

Right now, we are taking her care hour by hour. Our veterinary team is monitoring her constantly, reassessing her condition over and over to ensure that she is not suffering and that she is still choosing life. Amazingly, they do not believe she is ready to give up just yet. Somewhere inside this broken little body is a spark that says she is not done.

But survival will not be simple.

If this tiny girl recovers, the road ahead will be incredibly long. It will mean medications, emergency exams, X-rays, ultrasounds, neurological assessments, follow-up appointments, supportive care, and constant monitoring. Every small improvement will come with another hurdle, another pit stop, another bill.

Medical rescues like this are devastating emotionally, but they are also extraordinarily expensiveโ€” and kitten season has already pushed us beyond our limits.

Still, when a baby looks at us and says โ€œIโ€™m trying,โ€ how could we not try too?

Please, if you can help this little girl fight for her life, donate toward her emergency medical care today. Every single dollar helps us continue saying โ€œyesโ€ to kittens like her when the world has already failed them once.

Please donate. Please share. Please keep this tiny fighter in your thoughts tonight. ๐Ÿ–ค

โœจ Club Crackers Update โœจ

Remember tiny Club Crackers, our little orange survivor? Wellโ€ฆ this brave boy is doing AMAZING! ๐Ÿงก

His foster mom reports that he is growing big, strong, and extra handsome every single day! And the best news yet? His little leg may not need to be amputated after all! ๐ŸŽ‰

Right now, itโ€™s looking possible that Club Crackers may be able to keep living life happily with his adorable little nub. Of course, weโ€™ll know more officially once he gets a bit bigger and continues growing, but things are looking incredibly hopeful for this sweet boy.

And speaking of growingโ€ฆ Club Crackers is officially ONE AND A HALF POUNDS now!! ๐Ÿฅน Tiny but mighty!

We are so thankful to everyone who has supported, donated, shared his story, and cheered this little guy on through his journey. He still has a ways to go, but seeing him thrive like this makes every sleepless night and every vet visit worth it. ๐Ÿงก

Keep rooting for Club Crackers โ€” heโ€™s proving every day that being a little different doesnโ€™t stop you from living a big, happy life! ๐Ÿพ

๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿพ What a PAW-some day at PetSmart yesterday! ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ‰

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to celebrate Anderson PetSmart's birthday ๐ŸŽ‰ and PetSmart Charities' Adopt Joy ๐Ÿพ event with us!

We spent the day enjoying sweet treats , creating adorable fairy gardens ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ, and testing our skills with fun animal-themed games ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿˆ! Most importantly, we got to share some amazing adoptable pets with the community and celebrate the joy that comes from giving homeless animals a second chance.

The biggest highlight of the day? โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

Stubby found his forever home! ๐Ÿก After waiting for the perfect family, this lovable pup finally met his match, and we couldn't be happier for him. Watching animals like Stubby leave for their happily-ever-after is what it's all about!

Thank you to Anderson PetSmart, PetSmart Charities, our volunteers, and everyone who stopped by to support rescue animals. Events like these help us continue finding loving homes for pets in need and remind us just how wonderful our community truly is!

Be sure to keep an eye on our page for upcoming adoption eventsโ€”you never know when your new best friend might be waiting to meet you! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’™
