We’re FINALLY making our way down the waiting list!
Meet our newest EIGHT additions !Three girls and five boys!
Back in JUNE, a wonderful couple reached out to us and filled out our assistance form looking for help with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). At the time, there were seven cats needing help.
Unfortunately, as the months passed and they waited for assistance, seven turned into 15.
This is exactly why TNR is SO important. Cats don’t stop reproducing while they’re waiting for help, and situations like this can quickly spiral out of control.
🐾 8 kittens: Approximately $1,500 for basic veterinary care, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips, flea prevention, and deworming.
🐾 7 TNR cats: An additional $364 to get them fixed and help prevent this cycle from continuing.
That’s nearly $1,900 in veterinary expenses for ONE request for help. And that’s assuming everyone stays healthy!
The couple who reached out to us back in June graciously donated $400 toward these expenses, which we are incredibly thankful for! ❤️ That still leaves us with approximately $1,464 to cover.
We share these numbers because we want people to understand what goes into rescue. Taking in eight adorable kittens is the easy part. Financially supporting them, keeping them healthy, finding them forever homes, AND addressing the overpopulation problem is where the real work begins.
We are grateful we could finally help this family, and we’re continuing to work our way through the many requests still waiting for assistance.
If you’d like to help us cover these expenses, donations are always appreciated! You can donate here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-change-lives-1783
You can also support Twenty9 Lives by entering our pumpkin raffle here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/pumpkin-for-purrs
And as always, sharing our posts and adopting make it possible for us to keep saying YES to the next ones waiting.
