We desperately need field trippers to take some dogs out for one on one time to decompress. Our volunteers are stressed, our staff is stressed, and so are our dogs. A field trip can help us all! See below for details on a field trip during the day with Paws Pics and Field Trips and a sleepover at night with our Pawjama Parties!

🐾What a fantastic field trip day for some awesome DCHS furbabies (and the grateful volunteers who love putting on this event EACH AND EVERY TIME)!! Whether it’s one field trip or one hundred field trips, it matters, your time matters, your voice for your field trip buddy matters! 🌟 A huge thank you to all of our field trippers who came today and let freedom ring! Our doggies need it, our team loves it, and everyone naps happy afterwards. 😄

🌤️It’s going to be good weather and they’ll be plenty of shade at our first field trip spot 🌟Bethea Retirement Community where the residents will be so happy to meet some furbabies. Your doggie pal will be very grateful for the taste of freedom from shelter life!

🐾This pretty girl in pink is Puppy. Puppy has been waiting for a home since December of last year 😞 These field trips are so important for our dogs, especially long time waiters like Puppy. These are the BEST days for her and she needs to help to hold her leash and take her for a ride. Puppy is 5 and half years old, spending the last half in at the shelter. Can you help get her out for an hour or so?

Who is up for a short field trip with a shelter doggie who needs a break from the kennel?! We need many more sign ups. We’ll provide everything you need to enjoy the day and stay cool!

🐾🔔🇱🇷 It's time for another Paws Around the P*e Dee adventure, and our dogs are ready to let freedom ring with you!

🚙 Pick up your 🐕 freedom rider and enjoy your field trip with our ready-to-go locations and activities, visiting our friends at Bethea Retirement Community too. The residents can't wait to see you!

🎒 We fill your backpack with supplies, so you just need a little gas in the car and time to spare. Your doggie pal will be very grateful for the taste of freedom from shelter life!

🤳🏾 Take lots of photos and videos along the way to help your pal find the freedom of a forever family!

🐶 Bring your pal back to our shelter before 1pm for a well earned nap! Remember to tag us in your social media shares of your fun adventure together.

📣📣DCHS is back with another Paws Around the P*e Dee and this time we are ringing the liberty bell with a Freedom Adventure!! 🔔🇺🇸
🦮Join us in signing up to take a Darlington County Humane Society doggie pal on a field trip to break free from their kennel and show them a star-spangled good time! We will hand you everything you need if you can just spare your time.
🐾We will provide you with:
🎒a backpack/treat bag
💧water and a water bowl
🐕‍🦺 a leash and a collar
🫣and potty bags (there was another emoji we though of using here but we didn’t want to get to graphic 😆)

Whether you're an avid
participant or joining in for the first time, everyone is welcome to an enjoyable day hosted by our shelter and starring some top-notch, field trip ready furbabies! 🚗There is no cost to participate and we welcome everyone and their friends and families.

All you do is:

2️⃣Pick up your four-legged freedom rider at our shelter📍580 E Washington St in Hartsville,
3️⃣Start your field trip with our ready-to-go field trip locations including our local Bethea Retirement Community 🚙

You’ll go for walks, take pictures, have some treats and enjoy the smiles on your furfriend and all around. Then bring your pal back to the shelter before 1pm for a well needed nap! Your time will mean more to these doggies than you can imagine!
