We're glad we could jump in and help with the delivery!

"This morning , I rushed my foster dog in because she was having complications delivering her puppies. Even though the doctor was not there yet the staff brought her in and started immediately caring for her and her babies. This place is amazing!" - Julie E.

🐱💚 September is Happy, Healthy Cat Month! 💚🐱

Cats have a reputation for being independent, but that doesn’t mean they need less medical care. In fact, cats are experts at hiding pain and illness—sometimes until a problem has become serious.

That makes regular veterinary care especially important.

During Happy, Healthy Cat Month, Morgan Animal Hospital encourages cat owners to take a few simple steps to help their feline friends live longer, healthier lives:

🐾 Keep up with routine wellness exams
💉 Stay current on recommended vaccinations and parasite prevention
🦷 Pay attention to dental health
⚖️ Monitor weight, appetite and water intake
👀 Watch for subtle changes in behavior, litter-box habits or activity
🏠 Provide enrichment, playtime and a safe, comfortable environment

A recent CATalyst Council report found that 91% of cat owners want what’s best for their cat’s health, yet many cats still don’t receive regular veterinary care. Nationally, about 8.4% of cats have never visited a veterinarian at all.

Your cat may not be able to tell you when something is wrong—but regular checkups can help us find problems they’re trying very hard to hide. ❤️

🐾 Pets Age Faster Than We Do—Don’t Wait for a Problem to Appear.

A year may not seem like a long time to us, but for our pets, a lot can change. Because dogs and cats age more quickly than humans, medical conditions can also develop and progress faster than we realize.

That’s why regular wellness exams are one of the best ways to protect your pet’s health. ❤️

During a wellness visit, we can look for subtle changes before they become serious and give you the opportunity to ask questions about your pet’s health, behavior, diet and future needs.

🔎 Before your pet’s appointment, let us know if you’ve noticed:
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Coughing
• Weight gain or weight loss
• Excessive thirst
• Changes in appetite
• Increased aggression or unusual behavior
• Any other significant change since their last visit

Depending on your pet’s age and needs, a wellness exam may include:

🦷 Complete dental evaluation
🩺 Head-to-tail physical examination
❤️ Heartworm testing
🧪 Blood work, urine or stool testing and parasite screening
🩻 X-rays when needed

🐶🐱 Puppies & Kittens
Young pets have developing immune systems and can be especially vulnerable to illness and parasites. Early wellness exams help establish a healthy baseline and give us the opportunity to identify concerns as soon as possible.

🐕🐈 Adult Pets
Routine exams allow us to monitor your pet’s heart, lungs, joints, organs, weight and overall condition. It’s also a great time to talk about nutrition, exercise and changes you may be noticing at home.

🐾 Senior Pets
Older pets can develop age-related conditions more quickly. Senior pets often benefit from wellness exams twice a year, along with regular lab work, so changes can be identified early.

Your pet can’t tell you when something feels different—but a wellness exam can help us find the clues. 💚

Today is a bittersweet day for our MAH family. 💙

After many years with us, Sam has decided it’s time for a new adventure and an opportunity to gain experience working with other types of animals.

So many of you have come to know and love Sam over the years. For a long time, she was the voice of Morgan Animal Hospital—the familiar voice on the other end of the phone, helping answer your questions, directing you where you needed to go, and taking care of both our clients and their pets.

While we are certainly sad to see her leave, we are excited for her as she takes this next step and continues to learn and grow.

Sam, thank you for the years you have given to MAH and for being such an important part of our family. You will be greatly missed around here! 🐾💙

Please help us wish Sam all the best as she begins her new adventure. We know she is going to do great things!
