We also do genetic DNA health testing through VetGen and Embark for inherent diseases in the Doberman breed. What’s included with the purchase of your puppy: a 1 year Healthy Puppy Guarantee, Vet check, 1st DHLPP shot, shot and worming records, wormed twice, dewclaws removed, tails docked,

we will register your puppy for you (you pay registration fee), puppy care package which includes a baby blanket and a few toys, training treats, and training care and tip information in a binder which we will go over with you. Dobermans make wonderful family pets, they are loyal, highly intelligent, loving, eager to please their masters, easy to train, and aside from making great family dogs they can be used as service, therapy and emotion support dogs, guide dogs, search and rescue dogs, and police dogs. Memorial Day is a time to honor all who gave their lives in service to our country — including the four-legged Marines who never came home.

During the Second Battle of Guam in 1944, Doberman Pinschers served beside U.S. Marines as scouts, sentries, and messengers. The dogs of the 2nd and 3rd War Dog Platoons participated in more than 450 patrols, detecting ambushes, locating hidden enemy positions, and protecting sleeping troops.

Among them was Kurt, a Doberman credited with saving the lives of 250 Marines after warning them of an approaching Japanese force. Mortally wounded in the attack that followed, Kurt became the first Marine war dog killed in action on Guam.

By the end of the battle, 25 of the 60 Marine war dogs deployed to Guam had died, and many more were wounded.

The fallen dogs were buried on the island alongside the Marines they served beside. Decades later, after the graves had largely been forgotten, former handler and veterinarian Dr. William Putney worked with the United Doberman Club to create a permanent memorial in their honor.

Dedicated on July 21, 1994 — the 50th anniversary of the battle — the National War Dog Cemetery on Guam became the first official war dog memorial in the United States. At its center stands a bronze sculpture of Kurt titled “Always Faithful,” a tribute to the courage, loyalty, and sacrifice of all military working dogs.

This Memorial Day, we remember them too.

Gah😍 I opened the door to the outer pen last week & the Doberbabies love going in & out. These smart little cookies have already figured out to go to the bathroom in the outer area. The pic of the handsome little boy is Leo💚 The girl with the purple collar is Lucy & the boy next to her with the lime green collar is Indy. Roxie is inside with her pink collar.
