Blue would like to say 'hello' to anyone looking to love a big dog like him. This hunk of land-seal muscle came to the shelter in less than ideal condition. He was skinny, had skin issues and was pulled from a neglectful scenario. Today he is stealing toys and playing keep-away in the play yard.

Blue loves rope toys, over-sized tennis balls and stuffed toys. His interactions with them suggest he may not have known what they were previously. He carries each one as if it is a prize he just earned. He is learning what tug-o-war is with the rope toy and always sits with it in his mouth when we pass by so he can be ready to play at a moment's notice. He is so proud of his possessions that he trots in circles around the yard and then attempts to hide them in the play yard by trying to bury them and then trots off to claim a new prize! If there are a pile of stuffed toys nearby, you can pretty much bet that he is going to run up and steal them for his own collection. (He is not shy about theft. He does it in plain view!)

Blue should have slow introductions with other dogs even though he has been with others in the past. He is very neighborly with his kennel neighbors and we feel that he is likely to be just fine with the right fur-pal. Truthfully, we would prefer to see him in a home as the only pet so he can soak up the love and attention that he deeply deserves. He shows signs of never learning how to be a happy dog, and if he did, he may have forgotten what that felt like.

Cats are a NO with him, so please do not ask. We are unsure of his opinion of children and we do not have any here to present to him for observation. He doesn't seem to care about squirrels, so a park walk may be in his future after adoption. If you are interested in meeting Blue, he hangs out at the shelter and would love to meet you.

ADOPTED!!

Daisy!! She is looking for a family to love her and not leave her. She is under 6 months old. She is learning potty training but doesn't always know how-to ask to go outside. Crate training is in progress but she is scared to be left alone for long periods of time. She gets along with kids (known to be 6 years and up), other dogs and seems to like the shelter cat.
She will be ready to go as soon as she gets her vaccines. If you are interested in meeting Daisy, please stop by the shelter during our normal hours for a visit.

Do you recognize this smushy face!? Found on the 68000 block of 26th Avenue. This old gal could really use her humans right now. Help us get her back home. If you know her people let them know she is at the shelter. It is very unlikely this one went far from home.
