Hey Bangor, look what we found!! This guy thinks that being stuck here is a violation of his right to take an unapproved walk whenever he feels like it. Let's get him home!

Found on the 61000 block of 34th Avenue this morning.

This guys came in from South Haven. CR 689 near Phoenix Rd. Very scared guys. Not good in the leash, they seem to miss home where they can run free.
Please if you something about them contact us at the shelter.
I hope the owner can pick them up soon.

We want to thank everyone for attending the wellness clinic that we held today. We appreciate everyone's patience while we worked through the large crowd of folks who joined us for this first-time event. We did not expect the huge turnout that our community members showered us with. You are all amazing and this wouldn't have been such a success without all of you.

We have learned things with this event to apply to a future event.

Paw Paw area, this heavy weight decided to take a walk today. It seems that he left his owner at home when he did. He was located on the 67000 block of Eagle Drive. Can you please help us get him home?

Current year dog licenses will be available for purchase. Please bring cash in the exact amount or a check made out to Van Buren County. (CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.) $20 per spayed/neutered dog (with proof of surgery) and $40 per unaltered dog. Licensing is separate from the free wellness clinic services that are being offered.

PAWESOME STORY

We were at Oak Shores Campground this Saturday for an education and adoption event as they celebrated with their annual Pet Appreciation Day. We were gifted some donations from the campers and we got an ADOPTION!!!

Eddie got a new home where he will be spoiled by a great young man. This young man was very excited to get a dog of his own to buddy around with. We are very happy for him and his chosen addition to the family!!

Welcome to our FIRST Duffield Pet Wellness Days Pet Clinic. Does your dog or cat need a trip to the vet for an overall wellness check? Do you need to get your pet vaccinated? Does your pet have a minor health concern that you need evaluated? This event is to keep your pet healthy and provide much needed care. Van Buren County Animal Control is holding their first community clinic to help get pets the care that they need. The clinic is free to all attendees. Our event is sponsored by BISSELL Pet Foundation, Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation and Petco Love. It is open to all Van Buren County residents.
It will operate on a first-come-first served basis, so please plan for the possibility of a short wait. Pets will be served in the order that their humans register them with our staff at arrival.
RULES:
*All dogs MUST be on a leash
*All cats MUST be in a carrier
*If you dog has a temperament issue, you MUST have a muzzle on it before allowing it out of the vehicle.
