Knox, Inc. KNOX supports the needs of Hartford through horticulture and urban farming based opportunities.

Principles:

To change minds, awakening awareness of the importance of horticulture and the environment to the development of a healthy city, and providing people with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a difference. To enable people to act on their beliefs in the importance of a healthier and more beautiful city by providing technical and physical support and access to other resources. To take action on behalf of the city and its residents carrying out projects that require our special resources and capabilities. To work cooperatively with other towns and organizations in the Greater Hartford area to promote the mission of KNOX.

Thank you to our Love Hartford sponsor CVS Health Aetna for spending their afternoon giving some much deserved TLC to three different gardens throughout Hartford! 💚

Together, we worked in the gardens at the Burns Latino Studies Academy, the Hawthorn Community Garden, and the KNOX Farm Plot and spent the afternoon taking care of our community's green spaces. 🌿🙌

CVS Health Aetna has been a sponsor since the beginning of the Love Hartford. We appreciate their investment and the committed of their employee volunteers.

People in Hartford deserve more trees. We deserve cleaner air and water, and all the positive mental health benefits trees provide.

Trees for Hartford is planting hundreds of trees throughout the city-- where we need them the most. Hartford residents can get free trees planted in their yard. As the trees grow, so do the health benefits they bring.

It's officially Love Hartford Month!! 🌼🌿

This city-wide initiative demonstrates the power of our community. People from across the city clean up parks, tend to gardens, and give some much-needed TLC to public spaces. We're taking care of the land, but in turn, we're taking care of each other.

Hartford is our city, and we want to show how many people and organizations are committed to the wellness of the city and the people who live and work there. 💛

The more people that join us, the stronger our impact. Can't participate physically? Help us spread the word by telling your community about this initiative or by sharing our social media posts.
