Kentucky Kitty Cats

Meet Elana. This sweet girl is Eros's sister. We would love to get the two back together and adopted, but they are both big enough now to go into homes with fur friends. Sadly both have been caged to long to go back into a kennel at the pet store, so they are counting on fb and oet finder sites to find their forever families.

Winnie and Wallaby Woo are still holding out for that bonded adoption. These two are truly two peas in a pod. They do great with all the others, but always seem to be found back together. They are just best friends.

It is so cool to watch all these clinics develop. This one is top notch for sure. Alison was a huge part of the KKC clinic we used to host at FOTs. Now both Grayson and Butler and FOTs are all rocking it! While we are super thankful to be out of the clinic business and back to rescuing, we love visiting Fix Grayson and helping continue to get cats altered.

🎉 ANOTHER HUGE MILESTONE FOR FIX GRAYSON COUNTY! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve spayed and neutered over 3,400 cats and dogs so far this year! 🐶🐱

An especially incredible part of this accomplishment is that Dr. Morgan Bernal has personally performed over 3,000 of those surgeries! Her dedication to helping animals and making affordable veterinary care accessible to our community is something truly worth celebrating. We are so grateful to have her as part of our clinic!

Of course, it takes a team to make this possible! From preparing patients to monitoring recovery and helping the people who bring their beloved pets to us, our staff works hard every day to keep things running and make a difference in the lives of animals.

To our veterinarian, staff, volunteers, and everyone who supports our mission: THANK YOU! Every surgery represents one more pet receiving care and one more step toward reducing pet overpopulation.

When we look back at how far we’ve come, we’re reminded that this work truly matters. And we’re not done yet! ❤️🐾

Thank you for being part of the Fix Grayson County family!

We couldn't be more excited about this adoption. Sweet Binx entered one of our local shelters April 23, 2026. For almost 6 months she waited daily for someone to overlook that she was a black adult. Luckily two sweet humans took their time to drive her to Feeders Saturday, so she could hopefully find a human that would give her a chance. This precious child fell in love and Binx is now in her forever home where she slept in a bed with her new family. Binx seems to act like she has always belonged there and doesn't even mind sharing the home with the pooch. These are the adoptions we desperately need. I can make a trip to Bowling Green and bring some wonderful kitties to their new home. We just need to find these families!

Who-hoo… 6 more kitties never to multiply! These 6 have been trapped (scruffed), fixed, and returned to live their lives to their fullest. They also were dewormed and received vac and flea meds! The weather is absolutely perfect for this. Please check those cameras. Keep your eyes open! If there is a cat around you, let’s get that kitty fixed before its offspring become a problem.

Kitty Cats 🐾🐾: This week we were able to help one of local shelters with a huge need and take 11 cats and kittens. These babies have been in cages way too long waiting for their families to find them. It has been such a tough year. Punks is one that has been waiting patiently, and we suspect it is simply because he has the tiniest bit of discharge from his eyes. It is absolutely nothing to be concerned with. Humans often look for perfect creatures overall when these kitties need unconditional love. Stress of course makes his eyes worse. But we can't eliminate the stress until we find him an adopter or foster at least. Please help us share these babies.

A huge thanks to the person that donated to Ohio County Animal Shelter! Your generosity is making such a big impact. And as always the wonderful humans at Bluegrass Veterinary Services went above and beyond to help reduce the number of animals that need to be rescued. Because their hard work on this Tame Tuesday , 14 females and 4 males will never add to the ever growing number of unwanted felines. If you live in Ohio County and need help getting your animals fixed… it is definitely there. We always feel that every pet owner should have their own veterinarian and visit once a year for a check up. But sometimes people take on pets in need and it wasn’t planned. The money is not always there when needed. Saving up for a spay on a cat is NOT a good idea because the need will multiply before the appointment is secured. That’s when we have to work together to find economical options. We can’t brag enough of the vets we work with. Not only do they have some of the most reasonable prices in the region, they still help our shelter and rescues help those that cannot afford to pay full price. We just have to find a way to keep raising money to fill these needs. If you live in Ohio County and have been blessed economically, please consider donating to this cause. Jennifer Daugherty will make sure every penny is stretched as far as possible.

Sweet little Jelly Bean went home today. She is going to be so spoiled. Hopefully she won’t be affected by her few days in the shelter and then in our rescue. She’s just precious and we want her to have every chance for a great long life.
