Happy Birthday Mr Wiggles!! 2 years ago today, Mary Humphrey, trapped him in the Walmart parking lot in Paw Paw after atleast a week running loose there. He was never claimed! While helping him work through his sensitivities, we discovered a pattern leading us to believe this tiny guy was thrown, kicked and mistreated by the adults in his life. However, he trusted children! With the help of our grandson, Hunter, we were able to build trust with him in the first few days. He named the little tator tot Mr Wiggles.
We spent nearly a year working with Mr Wiggles and helping him work through his fear, but not one family showed enough interest in adopting him. By the end of the 11th month, our grandchildren Ava & Hunter, were begging for their little love bug to stay at the doghouse forever! They formally adopted him a year ago and Mr Wiggles lives here with us and the pack at Shepard's Doghouse. He is an amazing little guy full of so much love and joy! He has overcome so much in the 2 years he has been with us. He greets all who come here and enjoys all humans and dogs alike! Mr Wiggles is about 7 years old!

The 6 pack hosted 4 of our special fur pals over the last week. Bella, the English Springer Spaniel, enjoyed all of the cuddle time she could get in. Maggie, the Scottish Collie, herded the whole crew and barked out orders while chasing and tugging with all who would join her. Fenway & Whaler, the German Short-haired Pointers, ran laps around everyone while showing off their long legs and even longer strides. Zoomies were had by all! We look forward to the next visit with each of them.

Thank you to all of the amazing families who support what we do here by having thier furbabies spend time with us while they are away! We could not continue the work we do without all of you!

The Hartford Strawberry Festival parade is Saturday , June 13 @ 1pm. We would like to invite any of our boarder families to join us in walking the parade. Meet up is at the Hartford Highchool at 12:30pm.
We are making every attempt to have 5 of the 6 pack there this year. Tess is just not a fan of public spaces or car rides. If you would like to see Kyra, Briar Rose, Trixie Rose, Mr Wiggles and Moses... Be sure to sure to be on Main Street for the parade. This year , we have no adoptable dogs walking in the parade. If any of our courtesy post families would like to join us to walk in the parade , you are also welcome to do so.

We highly recommend Dustin Teter of Teto's Services! After years of issues with a terribly positioned driveway, that washed out after each heavy rainstorm, we finally had the funding for the long needed repair! Thank you all for your donations! This driveway was making it very difficult to recieve donations, medications and boarding and daycare clients.
Seriously, in order to do long walks with the dogs on scooters, we were having to drive up the driveway to the road and unload the scooters from our vehicle before we could even begin. Now our scooters can go straight up the driveway. In the winter it was difficult to have plowed. We are so grateful for this obstacle to finally be dealt with! Thank you donors and thank you Dustin!!

JESSE Is an 11 month old pittie mix weighing around 70lbs. He's a sweet boy , loving and affectionate , with a lot of energy. He does well with other animals and children.But is looking for a more suitable home. Currently, he resides with an elderly couple who can not handle his size nor the training requirements needed for such an energetic guy. If you would like to meet Jesse and see if he is a good fit for you , he is located in Hartford Michigan. Jesse is up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm testing and has received regular checkups. He is not neutered and that would be part of his adoption agreement.
