Team intros continue with Adam Grubb❗️

Adam grew up in Waynesboro, Georgia. During high school, he worked in the kennels at a local veterinary clinic, where he was first exposed to veterinary medicine.

Following high school graduation, Adam attended the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science. While at UGA, he was involved in the Block and Bridle Club, which introduced him to embryo transfer and sparked his interest in the field.

After graduating from college, Adam worked as a small animal veterinary technician in Burke County, Georgia.
Adam joined the Ashby team in the fall of 2024 and serves as the Georgia-based embryologist.

Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with his wife, Savannah.

Team intro time. Meet Miss Hannah Craun❗️

Hannah is a native of Rockingham County, VA, where she grew up on her family’s diversified dairy, livestock, and crop operation. Following high school, she competed on livestock judging teams at Fort Scott Community College and Texas Tech University, earning her B.S. in Animal Science.

Much to the relief of her family, she eventually went on to become a Hokie, earning her M.S. from Virginia Tech. While there, her research centered around nutrition and reproduction interactions in beef cattle.

When she’s not working, Hannah likes to spend time with her family & friends, help out on the family operations, and volunteer with local 4-H/FFA programs.

Since starting at Ashby Genetics in 2024, Hannah has enjoyed the opportunities to learn new things, travel around the Southeast meeting clients, and play a small part in helping them achieve their goals!

Producer visits in recent months have held many conversations on the developing New World Screwworm (NWS) situation.

Our vet team has put together some basic need to know information to help keep you informed.

❗️Early detection and producer action is key, so make sure you remain diligent in observing your animals and reacting swiftly if you suspect NWS activity❗️

Work with your herd veterinarian or local authorities to establish your individual preventative & treatment protocols.

Stay informed at screwworm.gov and follow your local Extension or ag department for up to date information.

Team intros continue with Dr.Skip Coles❗️

Dr. Skip Coles grew up on his family’s cow calf operation in NJ. This is where his dream of becoming a cattle veterinarian was born.

While at Virginia Tech, he was exposed to the embryo transfer industry for the first time and is where he met Dr. Randall Hinshaw. Through those experiences he knew that he wanted to practice ET in his veterinary career.

After graduating with a bachelors degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences from VT, Skip went on to veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin. He graduated with his DVM in 2008 and practiced general dairy medicine for 11 years before switching gears when joining ABS Global focusing on their embryo transfer program.

In the 5 years with ABS, Skip gained valuable experience in all aspects of embryo transfer including building an LOPU program and working on many research projects. He worked a short time at Trans Ova Genetics before joining the Ashby team in April of 2025.

When not working, Skip enjoys hitting the weight room, boating on the beautiful lakes in WI, traveling, and most of all spending time with his 2 daughters.

Time to meet more of the team!

Dr. Zeb Duvall grew up in Greensboro, Georgia, on his family’s dairy and poultry farm, which later transitioned into a commercial cow-calf operation. This shift introduced him to Dr. Randall and Matt of Ashby Genetics, sparking his interest in cattle genetics and reproduction.

He earned degrees in Animal Science and Dairy Science from the University of Georgia in 2011, then went on to complete his DVM at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 through the Food Animal Veterinary Incentive Program. After graduation, Zeb began practicing as a bovine veterinarian in Georgia, focusing on reproductive medicine.

In 2016, he started performing conventional embryo flushing, freezing, and transfers, later expanding his expertise in 2019 to include OPU and in vitro embryo transfer services across the Southeast.

Since joining Ashby Genetics in 2021, Zeb has continued to provide embryo transfer services throughout the southern region.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their family and friends. As well as attending an occasional sporting event, Go Dawgs!

Fun fact: The first embryos Zeb ever transferred were gifted to him by Matt and Dr. Randall the day they met!
