It’s always such an odd feeling when one dog you’ve groomed for years passes on and then another one comes along. When the owner walks in the feeling is just different. You almost forget for a moment the other dog isn’t the one there for the appt & the feeling that moves over you is just different. A feeling of sadness but also a feeling of excitement. I was blessed to groom Dude (left) for many many years. Watching him grow from a young pup to an old man & building that bond then one day saying your final goodbyes as you finish up their last groom. I said my goodbyes to Dude right before Christmas and then I got to meet the dog he sent to his owners today, Luna(right). Although she is already an older gal, I didn’t let a second go by without thinking of Dude. Trying to compare their likings, dislikes, personalities etc. She sure is a sweet girl & was definitely picked out by Dude! ❤️ here’s to more years of getting to love her & watching her fill his big paws! 🥺❤️
