Guys....we have been checking for pregnancy/delivery signs since January 1st. Nothing is changing. We have several fatties! We feel no movement, no lax tendons and no milk production.

I'm afraid our young buck Finn failed at his fall job with the ladies. He really did try. Fingers crossed for some surprise births. I will certainly keep the page posted if anything changes since he was pastured with the girls Aug-Oct. Gestation takes five months.

Unfortunately, as for now, it appears we wont have any Jan/Feb 4-H kids this year.

Tuesday it's going to drop to 13 degrees, that would NOT be a good day to go into labor dolls.

Our girls have baffled us this year. We were expecting kids to be born two weeks ago and nothing has happened. We had our Amish friend out today and he agrees many of them are pregnant, the buck must have gotten them later than we had thought.

I will keep the page posted as soon as we see any signs of progress. Several are holding low bellies, but no one is showing milk or has loose tendons by the tail yet. Stay tuned.

Eve is top of the baby watch list. She's also the wild girl of the herd. She's such a fierce mother, I have to hold a round sled in front of my knees the first few days if I need to handle her babies to dip their cords or check them over. Best momma ever!

We've been watching our girls closely and only three actually look pregnant, not just chubby. We're checking daily for milk signs and tendon changes, but nothing yet.

Our young buck (Fin) was running with the does for three months beginning August 1st. We will keep our page posted of any new developments.

Eve, Rain and Cece are the big ones we're watching. Stay tuned!

Here's some pictures of our does from this summer, prior to breeding season. Most of our does are pretty chunky now as they've all been pastured with our young buck Finn since August 1st, 2025.

Expecting our 2026 kidding to begin January, 2026. Stay tuned for pics and infrmation in the next month. Thank you!
