Don't admit defeat if you have a horse who likes to remove their grazing muzzle! Just up your muzzle game 😉
This is Jiggs, Dr. Hood's Connemara/TB cross mare with Insulin Dysregulation. Without this grazing muzzle, she wouldn't be able to go out on pasture due to risk of laminitis. The key to getting your horse to love wearing their grazing muzzle is to have them wear it every time they go out on pasture. You want them to associate the muzzle with pasture: Muzzle=pasture=happy pony!

Tick season is in full swing ! Ticks can cause diseases like Anaplasmosis and Lyme Disease. Make sure you are applying a topical tick control treatment every 4 weeks year round- if there are a lot of ticks in your area, you may need to shorten the interval to every 2-3 weeks.
