Tuesday’s scent work classes with Debra Sorosky went on a field trip to Diane Baker’s farm. All the dogs and handlers had a great time learning and working in a different environment. Thank you to Diane for allowing the classes to come! And kudos to Deb for always coming up with new and interesting searches to challenge the teams!!!

Here is a great blog post about how a handler’s body language and behavior can impact their dog’s search and alerting behavior. Take a minute to read “Your Dog is a MASTER at Reading YOU!”

Stacy Barnett, founder of Scentsabilities Nosework, is a top competitor, international clinician, AKC Scent Work Judge and FDSA instructor.

Not to be outdone, our Scent work trial also carried on through the rain! Thank you to all those who braved the weather to compete and volunteer! And despite the less than hospitable weather, there were many Q’s and new titles earned! And we want to give a big kudos to Rosemary Evans for Chairing the trial!

Despite the torrential down pour today, the DDTC Tracking Trial went off without a hitch! We want to say a special thank you to Bets Keen for hosting the trial on her beautiful property! We also want to thank the Judges; Jill Paige, PA and Gina DeAlmeida, NJ. And we also want to give a big round of applause to the many volunteers that made the trial possible!
