🐾 Friday Pet Chat: What’s Your Pet’s Funniest Nickname?

We know the name on the vet paperwork isn’t always the name that gets yelled across the house. 😂

Maybe Bella somehow became Bell-Bell, Sir Wigglebutt, Princess Fluffypants—or something that makes absolutely no sense to anyone outside your family.

We want to hear yours! Tell us your pet’s real name AND the funniest nickname you use for them in the comments. Bonus points for adding a photo so we can put a face to the nickname! 💜

🐾 Tip Tuesday: Don’t Forget Those Paws!

Your pet’s paw pads deserve a quick check between grooming appointments. Hair, dirt and debris can collect around the feet, and seasonal changes can affect how paws feel.

At home, periodically look between the toes and around the pads for debris, tangles, unusual redness, swelling, cracks or anything else that seems different. Keep the feet clean and dry, and avoid cutting hair or digging at anything embedded in the paw if you aren’t sure it can be removed safely.

Regular nail care matters too. Overgrown nails can affect how comfortably a pet stands and walks.

Notice something unusual or your pet seems painful? Your veterinarian is the right person to evaluate it. For routine nail trims and grooming, we’re happy to help! 💜

🐾 Friday Pet Chat!

We see a lot of personalities come through our grooming salon, and every pet seems to have that ONE thing that instantly makes their day.

What makes your pet happiest? Is it hearing the word “walk,” chasing their favorite toy, getting a special treat, curling up in your lap, riding in the car, or something completely different?

Tell us in the comments — and we’d love to see a photo of your happy pet, too! 💜

🐾 Wednesday Product Spotlight: Coastal Leashes & Collars

A good leash and collar are everyday essentials, whether you’re heading around the neighborhood, off to a grooming appointment, or out on your next adventure together.

We carry Coastal leashes and collars right here at Pawsitive Purrfection Grooming, with options to help you find a comfortable, properly fitted setup for your pet. When choosing a collar, you should generally be able to fit about two fingers between the collar and your pet’s neck. Check the fit regularly, especially for growing pets or pets whose weight or coat length changes.

Need a new leash or collar? Take a look at our selection during your next grooming visit - or stop by when we are open, M-F 9 AM to 3 PM and most Saturdays 9 AM to 2 PM! 💜

🐾 We’re Back from Groom Expo! ✂️

The Pawsitive Purrfection Grooming team is back from Groom Expo and ready to get back to work!

We spent our time away investing in continuing education, learning new techniques, strengthening our grooming knowledge and skills, and connecting with other professionals in the grooming industry. We also came home with plenty of new ideas for how we can continue improving the experience we provide for both our pets and their people—and how we can better serve our community.

Continuing education is important to us because the grooming industry is always evolving, and we want to keep learning, growing, and bringing that knowledge back to our shop. 💜

We are officially back to our normal business hours and can't wait to see everyone again!

Thank you for supporting a local grooming salon that believes there is always something new to learn. 🐾
