The Empty Shelter Project-Texas

We set up at the TESP Splendora event early this am , to hand out cat food , some dog toys ( THANK YOU Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas for your wonderful contributions !)
Houston Humane was handing out dog kibble .
The multitude of pets brought by their humans for spay / neuter / vaccines / chips = healthier lives was a wonderful site to behold . Thank you all !
Montgomery County is so fortunate that The Empty Shelter Project-Texas was able to come this year . The 550 pets that were able to register will not have unwanted litters , won’t be as tempted to roam and our county is healthier due to their hard work . The TESP TEAM works incredibly hard to prepare and hold these events . We are thankful!
The Montgomery County Spay / Neuter Alliance delivered breakfast burritos / sandwiches / fruit and snacks for the staff ( vets and techs ) and volunteers. Two restaurants are delivering pizza for staff … Crust Pizza and Union Kitchen . Stop in and thank them sometime !

So many wonderful volunteers gave their Saturday too to make this happen . You guys make events better by helping non profits serve their communities .
Thank you ! Saw some Alliance members volunteering … thanks guys .

Keep spaying and neutering folks …. Let’s make our beloved pets lives better by giving them the care they need ….

….an aside … so many people brought dogs that they had found , some with puppies . By fixing them , and helping them , they are helping the endless cycle of strays on the roads desperate for good humans stepping up .
