Delmarva German Shepherd Dog Club We're a working dog club located northwest of Harrington, Delaware. We use scenario based protection training. Our club training is scenario based. certification.

The DGSDC offers training to help the owner better understand the genetic drives and behaviors of their pet. While we're listed as a German Shepherd club, we will work with other approved breeds and mixes if they come from working lines or working with some show. We offer: marker training, practical use obedience, K-9 personal protection training, the AKC-CGC and Trick Dog title/certificate train

ing and testing, and the puppy S.T.A.R. When problems arise, we can help with many of those issues. Finding us is easy...We're located about two miles northwest of Harrington, Delaware, behind Callaway Furniture on Hopkins Cemetery Road.

Our club training and protection work build K-9 problem-solving skills and create a dog that isn't handler dependent. Clear thinking and confident attitudes by the dog help get us there. The dog has to want to do the training and the scenarios.

There's a reason FEAR BITERS or dogs with a history of unprovoked biting will not be allowed.

Our club uses experienced trainers and decoys, we setup scenarios that help develop your pet. The goal behind each scenario is to create proper bite targeting and confident full grips. There is no biting and release, piano biting the sleeve, or shallow frontal bites. When you see this, it's a good sign that the pet LACKS CONFIDENCE.

Looking for a training venue for you and your pet? Ask to see a training session or two and to talk with some current clients. Then check out the dogs. If they look stressed, hate being there, or are handled with a rough hand...it's time to move on.

Does the trainer's dogs look like they have been punished with an e-collar. Do they flinch when a hand is brought over their head? Do they go into a slink down position when the handler is near? If they have issues, why would you want that person handling YOUR PET?

Anyone can build a website, page, or print out business cards. Get references from the vet's office. Talk with animal control folks. See the venues for yourself. Anyone ca write a review, good or bad. Seeing tells all you need to know!
