That experience alone is not enough! That is why I attend ongoing education yearly with some of the best pet professionals world wide. I believe in starting each visit with a consultation. I educate my owners on how to care for their
pets with that knowledge I have gained. This allows them to care for their pets and make informed decisions. I was beyond honored to be named Oklahoma city's best groom shop in the Daily Oklahoman paper in 2023. Which was nominated and voted on by the public! This small business setting allows me a personal relationship with my clients and their pets. This close relationship often brings to light health abnormalities that are subtle and owners miss and if not with regular groomer would be missed as a change. I have been able to catch things and recommend they see their vet. I also have been able to coordinate care with pet health professionals. My love for dogs motivates me. This is my art. I feel pride in the quality work I put out daily. I enjoy coming to work and love what I get to do for a living. I was trained in Edmond under a watchful eye of a well known and respected Veterinarian of many years, and by veteran groomer of over 30 years. Learning this way gave me a advantage. Being able to know from a Veterinarians stand point of what a dog needs are health wise in a groom. I always put a dog's health first and am able to recognize signs of trouble physically and behaviorally from my training. My teacher taught me the right way to groom, how to preserve the safety of the dog and myself. Before becoming a groomer I was a hairstylist. This has helped me tremendously with dog grooming especially with scissor cutting. I have been privileged to build up multiple wonderful groom shops from the ground up into thriving successful business for others. I love getting to know my clients and their owners and building a strong mutual trust and friendships with them and their pets. While in Edmond I was honored to be a regular weekly columnist on the ask the experts column in the Edmond sun where I answered grooming related questions. I was also spot lighted on local news reports about the upcoming trends and special pampering of my clients in Edmond which included some local celebrities dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences in Edmond. However I am a mother. My family always comes first. I needed to be closer to my kids. I opened For the Love of Dogs Grooming April 6th of 2015. I have been blessed to serve this community for 9 years now. For the Love of dogs grooming has multiple groomers that rent booths in this location as well. They run their own grooming businesses.
