If there’s one thing dog breeding will teach you.. even if you THINK you know... you DON'T!! 😅
​Between spiking progesterone levels, a virgin stud, and going through the alphabet of plan changes on the fly, today definitely didn't go the way I originally mapped it out.
But thanks to God above (who somehow kept me sane today 🤪), great reproductive vets, and pivoting in every direction, we got a perfect breeding done right down to the wire!
​Huge shoutout to the repro team at Dr. Bell's today and to Nix for putting up absolute rockstar collection numbers! 🐾

​Now we play the waiting game, keep mama Kate quiet and comfy, and keep our EVERYTHING crossed for ultrasound blobs in about four weeks. 🤞🏼❤️

P.S. Nix says this is exhausting stuff!

Breeze joined us from Dem Feuerhaus Gundogs. She has sooo much potential and lots to add to the breed. Loves to work, we've been working on "whoa" for a total of 3 short sessions and she's picked up quickly.
Renay already put her through her NA test in early March and she scored a 108 prize 1. Renay and I will be working on a dock diving title in a couple of weeks and hopefully a few AKC titles in the upcoming months before we dive in UT training. Cannot wait to see what the future holds for her 💜

Healthy Puppies Start Long Before They’re Born! 🧬🐶

​DNA samples for Kate, Sage, and Nix are officially on their way to the lab.
​Being a responsible breeder means more than just raising happy pups—it means doing the homework to ensure they have the best genetic start possible. By running full genetic panels now, we can clear our dogs of breed-specific disorders and make informed, ethical breeding decisions.

​What’s next?
Once the DNA results are in, we’ll be heading to the specialists for:
​OFA Hips, Elbows, ​Cardiac, and Eyes.

​We believe in "testing, not guessing." Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to our next generation! 🐾
