Meet the pups saving lives! 🩸🐾

These special pups belong to members of our own veterinary team and have stepped up to donate blood when another patient needs it most!

Just like in human medicine, dogs can require blood transfusions during emergencies involving severe blood loss, anemia, surgery, trauma and other critical conditions. And when those moments happen, having blood available can quite literally help save a life!

Behind that lifesaving blood is a donor pup (and family!) who made it possible. 🐶🥹

We are incredibly grateful for each of our donors and so proud that members of our own team - and their pets - help make this care possible. ❤️

Not every swallowed object has to end in surgery. ⚠️

This charging cord was safely removed using our endoscope: a minimally invasive tool that allows our veterinarians to look inside the stomach and retrieve certain foreign objects without making an incision.

An endoscope is a flexible camera that can be used to diagnose and, in many cases, remove items pets accidentally swallow. When appropriate, this can mean:
✨ No surgical incision
✨ Less discomfort
✨ Faster recovery
✨ Quicker return home

Not every case is a candidate for endoscopy, but when it is, having this technology available can make a huge difference.
If you think your pet has swallowed something they shouldn’t, don’t wait for symptoms to get worse. Early intervention can be lifesaving!

As summer comes to a close, it’s time to say “see you later” to two incredible members of our team! ❤️🐾

Desrae is heading back to Kingsville to continue her Veterinary Technology program and Daisy is returning to Michigan State to begin her third year of veterinary school.

We are so proud of everything they’ve accomplished this summer. Their compassion, hard work, and dedication to our patients and clients have made a lasting impact, and we’ve loved having them as part of our team.

We can’t wait to celebrate their graduations and welcome them back in the future as veterinary professionals. Until then, we wish them the very best this semester. Study hard, keep chasing your dreams, and know we’re cheering you on every step of the way!

Good luck this semester! We’ll see you both over winter break. 💙🎓🐶🐱
