Congratulations to Duncan for officially graduating from his 14-Day Board & Train! 🎓🐾
When Duncan first arrived, he had some BIG feelings about kids and other dogs—especially while on leash. He struggled with reactivity, staying focused, and making good choices when something made him uncomfortable. Let’s just say, Duncan definitely wasn’t afraid to let everyone know exactly how he felt. 😂
Over these past two weeks, we worked hard on building his confidence, improving his leash manners, creating neutrality around his triggers, and teaching him that he doesn’t have to react to everything happening around him. We also worked on obedience, impulse control, engagement, recall, place, heel, and learning how to settle even when distractions are present.
The biggest accomplishment wasn’t just teaching Duncan commands—it was helping him learn how to slow his brain down, look to his handler for guidance, and make better decisions instead of immediately reacting.
He came in as a sweet boy with a little bit of an attitude and a whole lot of opinions, and he’s leaving as a much more confident, manageable, and well-mannered gentleman. 🥹❤️
