**Round Three!** Finally, Vetting is finished up for our Arabian Herd. We have completed dental work on the last three horses: Coggins testing, aging, and sheath cleanings. The estimated veterinary cost is $900 or more to cover these expenses.
Can you help support one of these horses? Even a $5 donation can contribute towards our ongoing bill for teeth floating, which is essential for their health.
We now know that Juliet is 13YO, Romeo is 12, and J.J. is 21. The next three horses are scheduled for dental work next Wednesday. Thank you for your support!

**Our Best Investment** A few months ago, we purchased a Draft Horse Trimming Stock with the intention of using it to trim our semi-feral herd. Last night, we put it to the test. With a little sedation, J.J. and Juliet have now been successfully trimmed. The cost for trimming these two horses is $150.00. If you would like to support us in helping these girls, we would greatly appreciate your assistance. We still have 10 more horses in this semi-feral herd that we took in. Thank you!

**Round Two!** We have completed dental work on three more horses: Coggins testing, aging, and sheath cleanings, all of which are about the size of a half dollar. Unfortunately, a significant amount of sedation was required for these three boys, as they had many hooks in their teeth preventing them from chewing properly. The estimated veterinary cost is $900 or more to cover these expenses.

Can you help support one of these horses? Even a $5 donation can contribute towards our ongoing bill for teeth floating, which is essential for their health.

We now know that Aries is 17 years old, Benji is 14, and Jerry is 23. The next three horses are scheduled for dental work next Wednesday. Thank you for your support!

We experienced another $900 day (estimated) and are reaching out to our followers for help covering the bill. Yesterday, we spent the day estimating ages, performing Coggins tests, and floating teeth for Ember, Jynx, and Jasper. Sedating these three was quite challenging, and we ended up with a few broken lead ropes and stall pickets. Fortunately, there were no injuries to horses or humans. Thank you to our Facility Veterinarian, Clint, and Volunteer Mike for all your patients with these guys. Our veterinarian determined that Ember is 23 years old, Jasper is 30, and Jynx is 9. Another 6 will be done on 5-13 and 5-20

We've been super busy around the rescue these past two weeks. Trimming feet, working with the horses, working on fencing, and so, so much more. Never a slow moment around here at all. Wanted to take a moment and share these photos of Romeo. He is coming along great, if only he would let us work some more on those back hooves. After God only knows how long he had been running with a baseball bat tail, hitting him in the rump, he just doesn't want anyone touching his backend. Just gonna take time and patience

Our volunteers dedicate one to two days a week to help meet the horses’ needs. We have committed volunteers who not only assist the staff with daily horse care (feeding, watering, and haying) but also help retrain many of the horses.

Attention Horse Followers with horse-handling background: We believe it is essential for each horse to have human caretakers they can get to know, rely on, and trust. To ensure this happens for our herd, we are in search of volunteers with a horse-handling background. We would like to encourage you to consider lending us a hand and becoming a volunteer to help our herd. Working with some of these horses can be dangerous, and past experience is required. If you'd like to help, please take a moment to fill out our online Vol Application at https://www.rvhr.com/wordpress/how-to-become-a-rvhr-volunteer/
